Gretawire reported: Senator Ted Cruz complained this morning about Fox News Channel being unfair to him. He took a few swipes at Fox News Channel CEO Roger Ailes and 21st Century Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch for turning Fox News into the “Donald Trump Network.” In taking those swipes, he also took swipes at my show and my staff on ON THE RECORD at 7p since we have worked hard to give Cruz equal opportunity and we have.
Hence I respond with the whole story. If Senator Ted Cruz told the whole story this is what he would have to tell you: Almost every single day (including weekends) since at least last December when he last appeared on ON THE RECORD at 7p, the staff of ON THE RECORD at 7p has contacted the Cruz campaign offering Senator Ted Cruz live interviews, taped interviews or town halls. We even told his campaign on dozens occasions that they could pick the date and location for the town halls. He did not take us up on our offers. The staff claimed he was unavailable.

Anderson Cooper also echoed this when criticized by some Cruzer, probably the loathsome Amanda Carpenter, when he said that he had specifically invited Cruz to appear and he had a standing invitation for months.
Cooper then said that the last time Cruz had agreed to appear on the show was at the family Town Hall.
For all the jokes and jabs against the press, Trump understands that their job is to provide stories, and he gives them interviews and access. So, they write about him and tout his appearances on their TV shows.
The press isn't shutting Cruz out. Cruz is declining to go before the press.
But truthfully not many can stand listening to his nasally whine and speech cadence
Lesson Number One of Stand Up Comedy: don’t encourage hecklers. But when they get out of control, you KILL THEM DEAD. Cruz wasn’t prepared for the onslaught and looked ridiculous.

O Reilly said the same thing. There was some whiner on last night crying about 2 billion in coverage for Trump. Bill said they had offered time to Cruz, Rubio, Bush, none were willing to step up.

My impression of Cruz has really dropped in the past month. He’s starting to sound almost as shrill as Hillary, and that’s hard to do.

A dumb idea, admittedly. No point trying to reason with jerks -- which the guy definitely was.
But if one believes there's a place for rational argument and intelligent discussion in politics one might give Ted his due.
I'm saying this as somebody who doesn't much like the guy.
Watching Ted today, I thought he was about to cry. It was embarrassing...
