Vile Racism Forces Fox News To Close Comments On Malia Obama Article

Harmless Article On College Choice Of President’s Daughter Shows Racism Going Strong

President Obama’s oldest daughter Malia has decided to attend Harvard but will take a gap year before beginning her college education. While the college announcement of a president’s daughter is not life-or-death news, it has been deemed as newsworthy by the media and will receive a short story on most sites. Fox News mirrored the brief AP story on their site and you would think it wouldn’t receive a ton of attention from the Obama-hating racist trolls. And you would be horribly wrong.

If you take a look at the Fox News post, you might notice there is no comment section at the bottom of the article. The reason: they had to take down the avalanche of racism that ensued below the harmless story.

Probably nowhere near the volume of hate-filled spewing that comes with every mention of Sarah Palin 8 years after she ran as McCain’s VP.

Well, doesn’t Obama “appreciate” the N-word, Luke at the WHC dinner?

When the sub-par Malia is given admission into a (theoretically) prestigious college because of her connections and her race, THAT is racism. Noting those facts is not.

Harvard has a Med School, so they are covered.

While I would agree, I’m pretty sure that ANY child of a president would be in whatever school they wanted...

Although that spectacle was a tad uncomfortable for the general public, I find it a little sad that people would resort to “vile racism” about the Obama’s daughters. I don't think there is any need for that. But like the other poster here said, Palin and her family has been the target of unrelenting hate, as other conservatives (especially women) have. I try not to lower myself to the double standards of the left, and normally just ignore news about the first family, unless it is in the context of politics and governing.

We do live in a world now that doesn’t want to hear happy little puff-pieces about rich people doing elitist things. I mean, you don’t hear other elitists making such announcements. Even so, it’s pretty sad that people felt the need to troll the article with vile abuse instead of simply reading something else.

The photo of daughter shows her with long, flowing straight hair and very fair skin—kind of like her idol, Beyoncé. I had assumed it was photoshopped. But— I’ve been reading about people using a lot of skin bleach and I’m curious as to how that would work! I didn’t know there was such a thing. But if the photo has not been doctored electronically, bleaching is going on.

I’m guessing that someone questioned her qualifications to get onto Harvard other than being black and being the spawn of Satan. Just guessing.

she gets the best of both worlds.

everybody thinks she’s going to Harvard, but she’s really not. By the time the world learns she is not ever really going, the world won’t give a damn

Yeah I see what you are saying. I think if an applicant’s parent was a graduate of Harvard, you go to the top of the list. What is also interesting is how Michelle Obama is constantly bashing the United States as racist and how she has “struggled” her whole life. yet here they are, at the very top of the social ladder they so hate, with their kids afforded the very best our country has to offer. There is certainly a disconnect between their rhetoric and actions.

““Obama-hating racist trolls”

I have the right to be a non-racist Obama-hating American, just as any other American does.

Which is itself a case of “privilege” and rightfully the target of scorn.

Two of the cited comments:

Sounds like black privilege to me.

If it were honorable it would surrender that spot to a needy citizen.

I saw one post quoted that had the n-word. Another referenced Africa. But the widespread "vile racism" they assert doesn't appear to be factual, based on the samples provided.

Racism has become the go-to card to play in every situation, and is therefore losing much of its sting.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the left posted those hateful comments just to make Fox look bad.

She’s a kid. And should be left alone. Sadly, some people are so caught up their bitterness that they insist on going after a 17 or 18 year old who’s never done anything to anyone. Sorry, thats not my definition of a conservative. Or a Christian. Its pretty sad.
