Bill Kristol Names Romney, Rubio as Third-Party Challengers to Trump
News Max ^ | 01 May 2016

For those who thought it is too late for a third-party candidate to run for president, don't count out that option quite yet.

Bill Kristol has put out a hypothetical short list of third-party candidates, including Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who could run if Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee, Breitbart News reports.

One of the nation's most influential conservatives and editor of The Weekly Standard, Kristol has said that a Trump victory in Indiana this Tuesday would force him to refocus on his so-called Latter-Day Republican independent ticket.

Kristol is a Neocon not a conservative. If he is what it means to be a conservative I have zero interest in being a conservative.

This is nuts. I voted for Romney in 2012 and believe he would have been a good President. I believe he lost because this country has gone very far to the left and because the Dems have trained the masses to detest mild-mannered, successful conservative white guys. This time around, I am backing Cruz. However, unless Cruz pulls a rabbit out of a hat in Indiana, Trump will be the Republican nominee. Trump would not have been my first, third, or even fifth choice for nominee, but I will back him if Cruz doesn’t win big in Indiana. I am not going to back a third-party challenger who runs because the GOP establishment so cannot abide Trump that they’d rather split the party and hand the presidency to HRC. Republicans who “just can’t vote for Trump” should stay home or vote for HRC directly, rather than abort the candidacy favored by the majority of their fellow Republicans.

You would think Kristol’s and company’s attempt to name an post-Saddam Iraqi gov’t would teach them a lesson. But no they think they can do the same thing here.

Fine. If he gets his wish, then Trump voters need to make sure that any Republican up for election who supports this ticket goes down the drain with them.

Would running a pro-Amnesty RINO like Rubio help Hillary, or would it help Trump by splitting the pro-Amnesty vote between those who want a tyrannical socialist and those who want a mystery candidate whose campaign promises have never had any connection to his actual votes?

History repeats...

The party machinery ran Anderson as a 3rd party candidate in 1980 in an attempt to stop Reagan and hand the election to Carter.

Yeah, that is a nice 3rd party crew:

The guy who lost to the guy who lost to Obama in 2008.

The guy who lost to Obama in 2012.

The guy who lost most of the 2016 primaries, including his home state.

Yeah, that’ll shake up Trump and Clinton.

Thanks for the note of agreement.

Yes, give me a straight up enemy any day.

Those that tell you they are your friends and stab you in the back, are the most treacherous.

Trump doesn’t lie to us. He tells us what he thinks, and once in a while gets it wrong.

The other guy flat ass lies to us. He’s not one of us, and his corrupted caucus antics in cahoots with the GOPe, make it very clear who he is in bed with.

And lest there be no doubt, if they are in bed with the Left, and they undeniably are, who is he in bed with?

I will never cast a vote for the likes of John McCain or Ted Cruz.

Trump has more votes than Romney did with 10 States left by over 3330,000.

Romney is hated by GOP Voters.

No Party ground game

Where would Mitt get 10 Billion Dollars?

Hillary has 2 Billion plus the whole democratic party.

Mitt would start with nothing

Bill has been wrong so many times that if his advice were ever taken, there would be a permanent, destructive majority of progressives, democrats running a government for themselves until the nation is finally destroyed and many of us are dead and gone.

Romney has put out trial balloons about 4 times during the last 2-3 years, and they crash like lead balloons.

Notice how none of the retreads from 2008 and 2012 got much traction in 2016. They are all old news.
