The pressure is really going to start mounting after Tuesday for Cruz to drop out. But he will continue to keep up this charade until the funding dries up. My guess is that he will keep getting funding from those who are trying to hurt Trump chances in the general election. Cruz is effectively being used as a tool at this point to try and give the election to Hillary.

The sad thing is that he is a very smart young man who had a promising future, but I doubt that he will ever be more than a footnote in history at this point. He is really being damaged by this process. And that actually is very sad for both him and his suppoters.

And the outlook (for Cruz) does not improve in the weeks ahead. Next week we have WV and NE - both winner take all states. Trump will win WV by a huge margin and it appears he has a chance in NE as well. If that happens, that would be 70 more delegates, even a bigger haul then IN tomorrow night.

I saw a poll in OR last week that had Trump +20 and several polls in CA that has Trump with double digit lead.

It's quite possible Trump runs the table the rest of the way.

Yeah, I thought Cruz would be a stellar candidate, but he really got mixed up with the people he actually hates. Furthermore, you actually hear Trump talking about building the wall, selling or cutting government entities and assets to pay off a debt, and other things you never hear politicians address.

It takes more than a long list of conservative positions to be a leader or even a good candidate.

It takes more than a slogan to be trusted.

I suspect he will be in private practice after the next tx election for the senate.

He has showed himself to be a very flawed man

Even with overwhelming personal ambition. Cruz could have early recognized a strategic alliance that could have put him on the national ticket and in the WH in 4-8 years thanks largely to Trump’s money , drive and charisma

The fact of the path he is choosing shows us America may have dodged yet another bullet with this man’s exposed character

Now if only the Almighty helps us against the Clinton cabal and yes, it is as if we are facing a mass of boiling black clouds on the horizon

Cruz lost me in a big way when he showed such an arrogant and stubborn attitude about getting the NBC thing cleared up by a federal court thus showing a willingness to get nominated and then DQ’d, handing the election to the left wing of the Socialist Party. It showed me he was more interested in his own political future than the future of America.

(To clarify, IMO the left wing of the Socialist Party in America is called the “Democratic Party” while the right wing of the Socialist Party is called the “Republican Party”.)

What’s left are independents at heart like you and I, regardless of whether we’re officially tied to the GOP. It’s actually another 180-degree meaning of “RINO” (”independents at heart”, “IAH”(?) - gotta work on that I guess ) - those of us who are “Republicans” but really are freedom lovers and haters of the leftist-dominated entrenched institutions AKA “establishment”.
