I hope not. 21012 saw a 75K drop in Republican turnout for Romney compared to Bush in 2004. There was a 100K gain in Dims for Obama compared to Kerry in 2004.
I’d like to think that was more due to Romney being so weak than such a radical shift, but I could be wrong. The City of San Diego is now a sanctuary city, so it may very well have shifted that completely, but the county overall is much less liberal.
