It would be interesting if, instead of basing representation on randomly reported numbers from the census, we instead apportioned them based on number of eligible voters. Would be much easier to count, no need for a census where illegals can report 30 people in a house. Just go off the voter rolls - with the added benefit that the states would have to clean up their rolls and get rid of dead people/people who moved away!

At the same time - eligible votership should kinda go back to the way things used to be. Instead of land ownership, voting should be limited to those who overall pay into the system - take takes minus welfare. if positive, you get to vote!

Article 1 Section II (I think) of the constitution requires a Census and how representation is apportioned.

Yes, it’s A1/S2. Obviously my post would require an amendment to change how they’re apportioned (based on number of free persons), though it would be nice to start getting control of the country back to those who are a net positive for society!

I don’t think illegals should in any way be considered, however, as it should be pretty implied that the representatives would be representing the citizens, NOT the people who owe allegiance to another country!
