BOEHNER LIKES TRUMP, SAVAGES CRUZ

The Republican establishment is getting jiggy with the idea of nominating Donald Trump.

How jiggy? Former House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday told a crowd at Stanford University that he was “texting buddies” with the celebrity businessman and would have no trouble voting for him in the fall.

According to the school’s student newspaper, Boehner “accepted Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee,” though he declined to endorse Trump’s specific policies.

As for the remaining obstacle to Trump’s takeover of the GOP, Boehner sounded rather Trump-like himself.

“Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Conservatism has failed in the sense that it has not figured out how to win and get the upper hand. Conservatism is getting clobbered. Look at Cruz.

Conservatism is simply not doing a good sales job. Saying people have to try it and give it a chance is ridiculous.

Conservatism has to earn people’s business and it is failing at that. The day conservatives figure out how they will win.

If conservatism is so good let Limbaugh and Levin run for office and show us how it is done instead of lecturing everyone from their safe places! Funny! They won’t do that will they? They simply cannot win outside of their safe zones.

My tag line is from the Declaration of Independence I would think that would be enough for any FReeper.

This is why I loathe Faux News

Headline is truly different than story

Bonehead played golf with Trump. He also played golf with DiC. His goal seemed to be playing golf

What you’ve written as a response to my post in no way addresses any statement I made. It’s reads like you taped five fortune cookie sayings together and inserted the word “conservatism” into random gaps. Are you new to politics or new to our language?

So your response to my gibberish is to concoct gibberish of your own.

Right!

I'm for Trump but I'm not taking any glee from the cocktailing, watery eyed Boehner’s condemnation of Cruz.

Did he ever say anything like this about Obama, Reid or Pelosi?

Just like it is so amazing how many people believe that the people on reality tv are acting real.

Glenn Beck in his sane days when I enjoyed him used that expression a lot. Not that that taints it just makes me sad at life’s changes.

Understood. The quote is great it just saddens me. Seems to me this election has more vitriol than most on FR but FReepers have always been outspoken.

I just never realized how many in the public that I believed were conservative are willing to go with the establishment that has lied so often. And worse than that to me they make elaborate excuses that being part of the Romney and Bush elite is okay and still conservative.

Trump is far from perfect but then I want a President not a saint. I have waited decades to have a leader who will stand up for America again like Reagan not sell us out to globalists like NAU. I am happy Trump loves America!
