Swedish Govt Spends Millions Telling Citizens To Eat Insects To End Global Warming
Breitbart ^ | 28 Apr 2016 | Oliver Lane

The Swedish government is showing their commitment to green principles and fighting climate change by spending tax payer money on developing ‘meat’ made out of crickets and mealworms.

Vinnova, the Swedish government agency that distributes money for research and development, spending some 2.7 billion kronor (£230 million) a year has announced its latest tranche of funding for creating a greener, more sustainable future — by weaning Europe off meat. It is hoped people will want to eat a so-called “climate smart” diet instead, reports FriaTider.

Sounds like the wondrous North Korean diet minus the bark and grass ... which two items should, in accordance with sound green principles, be arriving soon in Sweden. Now if they’d just shut off the electricity countrywide at night there would be little difference between the two countries greenwise.

Are these free range crickets and mealworms? How does one raise crickets and mealworms for consumption?

Wasn’t there a Star Trek episode in which parasitic aliens made people eat meal worms?

That would disrupt the food chain. It takes hundreds of insects to support one human.

When humans start to eat insects in significant quantity, the following will happen:

1. Catching tons of insects in the wild will require lots of acreage and will seriously affect the ecology.
2. They will discover that farm grown insects will need as much food per tons of product as cows. Maybe more.

But feel free to try, as long as no taxpayer money is spent, and no government mandates are forced on us.

Here is where all this BS stems from:

UN Agenda 21 and ICLEI: Is “sustainable development” something the American people want?
Here’s what Maurice Strong, socialist, senior adviser to the Commission on Global Governance and driving force behind promoting the concept of “sustainability”, said when introducing the term at the 1992 Rio Conference (Earth Summit II):

Industrialized countries [Americans] have “developed and benefited from the unsustainable patterns of production and consumption which have produced our present dilemma. It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption pattern of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning and suburban housing – are not sustainable. A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns.” Strong also explains in an essay that the concept of sovereignty has to yield in favor of the “new imperatives of global environmental cooperative.”

Indeed, socialists think renewables and bugs are free. It aint so. Any type of animal for food requires extensive care in making sure they are not carrying diseases and are fed properly etc... People have no clue
