May 3: Indiana, 57 delegates
May 10: NE, WV, 70 delegates
May 17: OR 28 delegates
May 24: WA 44 delegates
June 7: 303 delegates

Total: 502 delegates remaining - and that is not counting the roughly 82 unassigned delegates, 171 Rubio delegates, the 8 Carson delegates, the 4 Jeb delegates, and the Huckabee and Paul delegates (1 each). I am assuming that Cruz keeps his own delegates and Carly’s delegate, and that Kasich keeps his own delegates too.

If Trump cannot earn 38% of the 769 available non-Cruz, non-Carly, and non-Kasich delegates, he’s not worth voting for.

I understand that Trump is brilliant, but he really needs to fire his hair stylist and makeup artist. The Oompa Loompa complexion must go, and he should have a better plan to shape up and manage that unruly combover. Gotta do it.

One site has him at 987, so if we work off that figure, with 583 remaining delegates available, the difference is 250. That would make the percentage 42.88% (43%). Even more doable.

If we use your low number of 991, that leaves 246, or 42.19%.

Your high number of 1,000 leaves 237, or 40.65%

I think we have determined who the Republican candidate will be.

It’s a wonder I haven’t been married and divorced 5 times and living in a fricking trailer.

Have you? Are you?

See? You're not as stupid as you fear!

....And they will LOSE.

And that is just fine with them Biggirl.

If there is a Brokered Convention and G.O.P pisses away it's momentum with Shenanigans, than they are going to Lose in November, even if Cruz is the Nominee.

Whoever it is going to be needs to win outright. Too Much Bad Blood would have been brewed in our own ranks for the Repub Nominee to win. (We control our own destiny, 2016 is ours to lose)

And The GOPe and Bosses are perfectly fine with a loss.

Why? Because what difference would it make? Hillary is Pres? oh no....They still have their Buffets, Their Crackers and Cheese and they get to go to Nine Rivers Country Club every Sunday, so shut up base.

“To the death.”

No doubt he will get the nomination however that quote above is what has me concern. They “the Establishment” will do anything to prevent Donald from taking the seat in the Oval Office. I sense they have something up their sleeves and I pray that my intuition is wrong. The good news is that they will fail - Twice, and that is when something will happen to suspend the election. Though Donald will prevail.

Ok I’m going to put on my tin foil hat but remove it when I go for a job interview this afternoon. Can’t go walking in like that =)

Vert doable because NJ is a guarantee winner take all!

So, the percentage of remaining delegates needed is a lot less.

One has to question the actions of the Cruz campaign from the time of the private event attack on Trump in January until now. Cruz was doing just fine until the attack was reported and it became a war between he and Trump.

Cruz had ridden Trump’s wake successfully all fall. Cruz was setup to inherit many of Trump’s followers if he stumbled, other candidates followers as they dropped out, and would never had to fall in the GOPe orbit. He may not have won Iowa or New Hampshire but he would have done much better in the South, retained his following in the West, and would have been a logical place for many to go when Trump hit his rough spot.

Unfortunately his ego or ego of his campaign would not allow him to wait and not be out front. As a consequence of his actions then and worse his actions since Wisconsin, he not only has no shot at the nomination but his national political chances are over. He will be lucky to be reflected in Texas if faced by a credible candidate.

To what a promising candidate flame out is a sad sight.

It is totally embarrassing to watch Cruz self-destruct, but feels like the wheel of karma is finally turning. He so reminds me of a high school senior who thinks he can be POTUS but is really so uncool even the geeks and skags don’t like him. And watching the likes of Rove, etc., try to defend him is even more disgusting.

“so shut up base.”

....This time, the base is RISING UP and saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, in 2016.

thegreenpapers.com

Trump has 956 ‘hard’ delegates, needs 281 to reach 1237.

There are currently 118 uncommitted delegates, and 508 delegates are available in upcoming primaries for an ‘availability pool’ of 626.

That excludes delegates currently held by other also-rans.

I hope it isn’t that dire either, but with what I’ve seen here and during this campaign, I wouldn’t be surprised.

“than they are going to Lose in November, even if Cruz is the Nominee”

Are you still one of those that assumes Cruz beats Hillary more than Trump?

It comes down to how he thinks;

Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.
— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016

Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.

Like I just told someone who said Trump “has the depth of a kiddie pool” on a different thread;

“Trump ALWAYS bulldozes those who underestimate him. You don’t get to this;

http://www.trump.com/real-estate-portfolio/
http://www.trump.com/hotel-collection/
http://www.trump.com/golf/

and signing 22k paychecks on the FRONT if you have “the depth of a kiddie pool”. Only someone with “the depth of a kiddie pool” would think that. Get real.”

It cracked me up to see Cruzers suggest that winning winner-take-all states is somehow akin to the kind of shenanigans that Cruz has been doing in Colorado, etc

You know the really funny thing is that they accuse Trump supporters of being mindless robots that just support Trump because we are stupid, but then they continue to support Cruz even though he has been exposed in many ways of being a fraud. Go figure.
