Well said. So many times I will read about a former player having great admiration for Bobby.
He was tough on all of us and, yes, at times we did walk around on egg shells, but we learned how to compete, stand up for ourselves, and fight like hell to win within the rules. He isn’t for everyone but he was for me. He made me better.
Funny thing about the chairs.
People here in Indiana loved them some Bob Knight. After that chair incident, flagpoles all over Indiana started appearing with lawn chairs hoisted half way up the poles on game day.
Only leftist PC snobs didn’t get it.

Hoosiers KNOW everything Coach Knight did for IU and its students. Political correctness, Myles Brand and collusion with the press led to Coach Knight’s dismissal. IU Basketball will never be the same. Like Trump, Knight is one of those guys who comes a long maybe twice per century. What a treat to witness two ALPHA males, two competitors, two winners sitting side by side at that town hall. Icing on the cake was the WWII veteran. Three Warriors!! You pusscakes can STHU! You know NOTHING and understand NOTHING about greatness. NOTHING.
Let’s also not forget that, all the while IU’s President was just horrified by Coach Knight, he apparently didn’t have a problem with the porn films being produced in the university dorm.
Don’t swallow the media representation of Coach Knight. You should know better.
