Donald J. Trump Foreign Policy Speech

Thank you for the opportunity to speak to you, and thank you to the Center for the National Interest for honoring me with this invitation.

I would like to talk today about how to develop a new foreign policy direction for our country – one that replaces randomness with purpose, ideology with strategy, and chaos with peace.

It is time to shake the rust off of America’s foreign policy. It's time to invite new voices and new visions into the fold.

The direction I will outline today will also return us to a timeless principle. My foreign policy will always put the interests of the American people, and American security, above all else. That will be the foundation of every decision that I will make.

America First will be the major and overriding theme of my administration.

But to chart our path forward, we must first briefly look back.

Visit his site and read his position papers. I too was skeptical until I read what was there.

Watch the videos in 4 and 15. Trump isn’t going to lose to Hillary. It will be like a bulldozer vs a gnat.

The spirit of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan showed brightly through Mr. Trump's speech.

He was a little tight at first because of the teleprompters, but because the Truth will always out and be complimentary to the speaker, the speech took flight and ended with both speaker and listeners on a high we'll remember for a long time.

He touched on most issues I wanted to hear, the Problem, the Goal, the Proposed Solution

With concise explanations the Donald hit it out of the park for me and the home team this afternoon. He batted 1000!

Tonight will be even more of a high as the pecksniff pundits with pursed puckerlips try to pull the speech apart......and I will wallow in every minute of it.

Wonder if there were any EMS trucks rushed out to restart a few hearts at Foggy Bottom?

I hope not.

The most Presidential speech I have heard in decades and all with no notes or teleprompters. God bless America! Go Trump!

The broad strokes outline was dead on target.

That’s the important thing.

He pegged where we are, what we need to do, and how to accomplish it.

After hearing eight years of Kenya’s favorite son (of a .....), and in all honesty eight years of marble mouth, it was refreshing to hear someone speak with actual authority. Going back still further, you had the walking (male genitalia)..., so essentially this is the first decent presentation since Mr. Read My Lips.

Man this has been a long time coming.

And surprise surprise, our know-nothings weren’t able to screw this up.

Wow!

I’ll be thinking of Reagan every day with Trump in the White House. Trump may not always get it right, but Reagan’s spirit does live within him.

Folks just can’t grasp that.

The spirit of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan showed brightly through Mr. Trump's speech.

From the speech:

It all began with the dangerous idea that we could make Western democracies out of countries that had no experience or interest in becoming a Western Democracy.

Back in 1961, Goldwater made a foreign policy speech where he caught hell from the Foreign Policy Community, but as it turned out, he was right. I'm paraphrasing, but he said:

"There are nations that are not ready for democracy, and for religious and cultural reasons they may never be ready for democracy. The best we can hope for is a benevolent dictatorship, preferably one loyal to the United States and not the Soviet Union."

Goldwater had a habit of being right about the big issues.

"We even had an opportunity to take out Osama Bin Laden, and didn’t do it. And then, we got hit at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the worst attack on our country in its history."

I read the whole transcript, oh my...

But the line above will be aimed at Billy Boy and Frau Buchler and it won't be pretty. That will shake everyone to their timbers, that is dredging up Billy Boy being too busy with Golf and other things ( and the Saudi's, remember they wouldn't bomb with a shiek nearby Bin Laden ) to get-r-done.

just wow...

You are a petty person who obviously has not listened before that speech without notes or teleprompters came from his heart and sounded exactly like Trump!

“he has said much of this before a piece at a time. They need to pay attention more.”

In deed he has, and yes people need to pay more attention. His rally speeches contain all the points he made in 30 second sound bites so the folks will remember them. He simply used his stump speeches as an outline for a fuller speech. He is a very intelligent man. He can hold the attention of a massive rally or a room of political hacks.

I heard Rush say Trump wasn’t happy with a lot of the speech and rewrote it himself.

Just got word from a family member who is not Political She admitted to tears and has now committed to Trump. The seriousness and lack of bragedocious was all it took. She understands why his rally form is necessary for the rallies. It just like supporting you team as they throw the ball through the HOOP. In Indiana it’s complete insanity during the game and calm peace after the W
