MANCHESTER, N.H. —Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will announce on Wednesday afternoon that former presidential rival Carly Fiorina has agreed to be his running mate should he win the GOP presidential nomination.
Sources confirmed to WMUR political director Josh McElveen and political reporter John DiStaso that Fiorina, who has been a supporter of Cruz for several weeks, will be the focus of the announcement that Cruz intends to make in Indiana Wednesday afternoon.

Well, Mr. Trump said he wanted someone who can work with the Congress. Does Ms. Martinez have that kind of reputation with the House and Senate?

She’s part of the opposition to Clinton. I don’t subscribe to the “blow itself up” concept. I’m voting for the Republican in the general no matter who it is. The alternative to the Republican is too awful to contemplate. I think most Republicans who are now saying they won’t support the GOP nominee will come to their senses before the general. Asking people to make that declaration in the heat of a primary battle is not going to get you the most rational answer.

Me too :-/ I still could support him if he had the movement and the votes. But he so doesn’t. I think he needs to avoid the Peter Principle, and stick with the Senate, where he’s been an effective stopgap against liberal law.

I wouldn’t put it past the GOPe to support Clinton this cycle, either openly or on the sly.

She’s not going to be attacking Clinton. She will be attacking Trump and baiting him to respond. Then Cruz-Fiorina will dump the “Trump hates women” liberal talking point slime buckets.

No, I think he’s trying to ingratiate himself to the GOPe as the only viable alternative to Trump. He wouldn’t be able to pull off a 3rd party run like Trump could. He doesn’t have the resources or political skills.

Cruz running through CA after losing every county in five states and being mathematically eliminated is how the GOPe “helps” Clinton.

I don’t know, but for some reason I broke out laughing when I first saw this news. I hope they enjoy their playacting.

Her condescending, pedantic tone when she speaks makes her almost as bad as listening to Hillary. Plus she looks like she’s been French-kissed by a jackhammer. [I don’t mean that in a bad way. ;)
