This time it really is the end of Trump. Really.
That was the title of the E.J. Dionne's column in the April 3 Washington Post. It was so spectacularly wrong in its prognostications that it really does deserve an award. Really. If only Dionne's column had been published two days earlier he could at least save some face by claiming it was just an April Fools joke. Unfortunately for Dionne, he doesn't have that out and will forever be known for perhaps the most hilariously wrong political predictions now and forever unto the end of time. It wouldn't be so bad for Dionne if his column had been merely a very tentative set of possible unfavorable outcomes for Trump. Instead, Dionne declared Trump to be flat out finished in a manner just oozing with smug arrogance as was reflected in his column title:

This, like most fantasy projections, will slip into the black hole of publishing just like every other ‘this is the end’ fantasy projection that has come down the pike since last June.
Everyone in the political elite class is getting their faces rubbed in Crap this morning! They are such a small portion of US and yet they have been leading US by the nose up until now/this election! The GOPe has funded obummer’s entire agenda even into this year and they wonder why Trump?!?! Well we/US are finally getting our say in who and what gets to run this Country for BETTER or WORSE!!! I’m not a big Trump guy, but many days recently I’ve had to turn Medved off because it’s just all anti Trump all the time. He we can be obnoxious all the time, so that’s nothing new. Plus now he is on so early on the West Coast that I wouldn’t listen to him anyway.
There is a word for those on the long list of political commentators who have predicted Peak-Trump. That word is “wealthy”. Whether they are right or wrong, they are paid generously for their vacuous writings.

And that goes for all at the UN too because there was an article the other day that they want US to backdoor hundreds of thousands of syrians and other into the US and you can bet obummer will try his best to go along with that before he leaves!

Dewey was very talented but apparently he was not a very likeable guy. Earl Warren was his running mate and apparently couldn’t stand him. Dewey was so sure he would win he was treating the election as if it was in the bag. Maybe Hillary will do the same this year.
If Ed Dionne got an award every time he was spectacularly wrong, especially about conservative politics, he’d need to add on to his penthouse to store them.
