If only America had an American president and administration that would concentrate on protection rather than junk science and cable television.
This is reminiscent to the Cuban Missile Crisis and is much more threatening to our weakened nation thanks to an uninformed populace and having a spineless traitor in the White Hut.

Have we installed the attack/defense laser on the space station yet?
To: HomerBohn
So? EMP is overblown Internet nerd hype.

“... trajectory that evade U.S. National Missile Defenses, ...” The US tracks objects as small a a hammer floating in space. Don’t believe anyone who says that another country can “evade” US tracking capabilities. And, the NoKo’s haven’t proven to be able to command their “rocks” to do anything in space. Don’t think that they can suddenly command these “rocks” to re-enter over a particular place.

Time for the X-37B to go on a mining mission.

Could you expand on this, please.
To: Purdue77
Exactly. The gang who can’t shoot straight is supposed to be able to do something this complex? I seriously doubt it.

Those sats have nukes?
If not, EMP is a dream.
We are indeed EMP vulnerable, but not from those things.
To: HomerBohn; All
This is honestly a 'scare 'em' story, the only way those NorK satellites pose a threat to anyone in the United States is IF (a BIG if) they are carrying nuclear warheads.
No nuclear warheads = NO EMP.
And that is highly doubtful because to do that, they would have had to accomplish engineering of extreme miniature circuitry, not to mention having the lift to get a warhead into Earth orbit.
They may be making progress towards such a capability, but they're not there yet.

It’s true. The idea that one or two nukes could knock out the entire electrical structure in America is just Prepper fiction.

Even if they were carrying nukes (which they aren’t) they’re not in stable orbits and can’t easily be controlled from the ground.

Agreed, Kim Jong Fat Boy can barely control his government, let alone a satellite 300 miles up.

-—satellites can be commanded either to deorbit and hit a target on the ground ——
LOL...
Of course the Norks can target DC hit the WH from a free falling destabilized satellite...
Makes for a great sci-fi movie...
