We’ll be here in October. Maybe the dollar won’t. People will still have talents and goods and services to trade for others they need. A medium of exchange will emerge. Life will go on. But people or entities that are owed a large number of dollars will get them back in wheelbarrows, and can use them Weimar-style for kindling. And people who are dependent on government stipends will riot - and then be shot - and a stillness will fall.

Peter Schiff is becoming more shrill about this, says it all collapses in late May.

But then again, he’s been saying that for YEARS.

The system is ready to collapse at any time with the right shock. When exactly that will happen is anybody’s guess. Could be tomorrow, could be another 20 years they can keep the party going, but either way there are massive long-term problems with our political and financial institutions that are going to come to a head in a dramatic way.

Something like 2008 comes along, and of course they all predicted it.

What happened in August of 2008? Who knows what would have happened if the economy didn't collapse then. We may have had a president McLame for at least 4 years.
