Donald Trump Jr: Ted Cruz Has To Bribe Delegates To Win
CNN ^ | APRIL 24

Posted on 04/24/2016 8:38:39 AM PDT by Helicondelta

Donald Trump Jr. said that the only way Texas Sen. Ted Cruz can convince delegates to support him over his father is with bribery.

"Ted Cruz has no chance of winning this without bribing the delegates. That's his game at this point," the son of the real estate mogul told CNN's Jake Tapper in a CNN "State of the Union" interview that aired Sunday.

Trump Jr. said if his father wanted to bribe delegates he could -- and do it very well.

"He could send his private plane and send them down to Doral, they could play golf for a week and then we win that delegate. That's not the way this country should be run," Trump Jr. said.

Notice that these ignorant Cruzies here do not acknowledge that Cruz was asked a direct question by Hannity that he avoided.

Trump speaks ill of others all the time.

Just what do people believe his Presidency will be?

Only long chain of insults.

“”Ted Cruz has no chance of winning this without bribing the delegates. That’s his game at this point,” the son of the real estate mogul told CNN’s Jake Tapper in a CNN “State of the Union” interview that aired Sunday.”

Trump is not ready to face off against the Clinton machine. Every day the campaign whines about something else Cruz is doing is another day Clinton can sit back and laugh.

Trump needs to take a page out of Cruz’s playbook. Difference between Cruz and Trump is Cruz has the ground game to take on Clinton. Trump is playing catch up. This is why it is important for Cruz to stay in the race. It teaches Trump how the game is played. Hopefully he learns from this.

Cruz will be a national candidate again in 4 years, either for his re-election bid (God willing) is, or to oppose Hillary. Trump will either lose the nomination or the general election.

Six month ago, Hannity was considered a brainless featherwright by the vast majority around here. A bad joke. There’s too many 180’s to keep up with.

And none of that came from me. Hannity always treats candidates fairly.

Let’s name some names.
Who has been bribed, and what did they get?

America is corrupt so elect a POTUS who is expert at the use of corruption. Liberal logic, no?

And then Hannity went well out of his way to be fair in the primary, which cannot be said of Levin, Rush and Beck.

It’s not hard to keep up with if you look at the truth.

LOL Cruz was caught on camera handing out cash. Then lied about it. But who cares as long as he says he is a conservative, right?

Ted is going off the rails and will probably end up in jail before this is over.

And Cruzers will defend all the crimes, all the lies and all the manipulation. Truly reprehensible behavior if you ask me.

In my opinion delegates should exist only as safeguards in case the candidate flips out or refuses to resign if caught in a scandal. Then they can hash it out on the convention floor but not to rob a viable front runner of their victory the voters elected.

Said the son of the man who made a career buying politicians.

You are aware, of course, that failing to pay off politicians is a sure way to get them to destroy your business? Blaming Trump for the political protection racket is like saying small businesses in certain areas actively support organized crime when crime bosses coerce them into paying protection money.

If you have evidence of corruption, you should phone the authorities.

It’s not a bribe for Cruz (or Trump) to court delegates. That includes several nice meals each, which I have saying for months that Trump should provide for delegates (including those pledged to Trump), while a Cruz (or Trump) official explains to them why Trump (or Cruz) would be a great general election candidate and a great nominee. It’s not a bribe for Trump (or Cruz) to fly delegates to a resort for a weekend for the same sorts of discussions an hour a day, with the delegate spending the rest of the weekend with the family discussing whether they like Trump (or Cruz).

It’s not a bribe to pay attention to these delegates and make them feel valued. Those who have been delegates before expect it, and I am disappointed that Trump for whatever reasons won’t compete for the loyalty of delegates. Perhaps it shouldn’t be that way, but that’s not relevant. It’s like saying a woman shouldn’t have to be afraid at midnight in Central Park. Okay, she shouldn’t. But she’s a fool if she doesn’t recognize reality and deal with it effectively.

Perhaps Trump shouldn’t have to court his own delegates and others, but I will blame him if he falls even one vote short in the first round ballot at the convention. There is no realistic chance that Trump’s delegate totals will go up on later ballots, unless he’s doing exactly what he condemns. I will certainly blame the system and some individuals (Kasich most of all if that big-government liberal gets the nomination), but most of the blame will appropriately fall on Trump who has been warned so many times that there is no excuse for mishandling the delegate battle.

As for Cruz, he will have fewer delegates than Trump but more loyal ones. I will blame Cruz if he doesn’t make the right deal at the right time (which is after the final convention rules have been approved, so the establishment cannot respond to the new Trump-Cruz dynamic). I will blame Cruz and the Trump delegates if those Trump delegates defect to Cruz. However, I will also blame Trump if he doesn’t make the right deal with Cruz at the right time. I am 100% certain that both will know when that times comes, because it will be obvious, and it’s not yet, not until the rules are approved and they can game the rules (admittedly, a Cruz specialty).

Cruz is done. He will be kicked out of Senate. Get ready to watch his nasty divorce.
