President Hillary is totally unacceptable!

Free Republic stands for God, family, country! America!

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquillity, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United State of America."

Securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity is our mission on FR.

We cannot secure the blessings of liberty with Hillary in the White House.

When Trump wins the lion's share of the primary votes, states and delegates and the establishment installs someone else as the candidate, you've handed the election to Hillary.

Trump is the only anti-establishment candidate in the race and has won the lion's share of votes, states and delegates and is on track to continue amassing the lion's share of the votes, states and delegates by direct vote of the people.

We the People have voted and are voting to finally wrest control of our government from the entrenched corrupt establishment, aka, the uni-Party.

Cruz, Kasich, et al are mathematically eliminated and cannot win the nomination per the voters. They can attempt to re-wrest the nomination away from Trump and away from We the People only by corrupt establishment treachery at the convention. And that will split and destroy the party and guarantee a Hillary win.

NeverTrump is a losing proposition and will lead to a loss of liberty and loss of country.

This is totally unacceptable.

After the corrupt establishment losing twice in a row to Marxist Obama, I'm damned tired of the corrupt establishment and damned tired of losing.

If you are a NeverTrump type person, you are working against our purposes on FR, so please opus out now and log off and let us carry on with our mission in peace.

Continue insulting us with 24/7 anti-Trump diatribes and insults, your opus will be assumed.

We will unite behind our nominee and we will win this coming election (with or without you) and we will get a handle on this divided forum very soon.

Hope you understand my position.

By the way, Cruz's campaign still refuses to answer the question whether or not Cruz will support Trump if he's the nominee. He's taking the GOPe route of preferring Hillary over Trump. This is also totally unacceptable.

I seldom post anymore but I have to say that it has been a long time that I have seen someone post with such clarity and eloquence. I agree with every word you have said and you said it beautifully.

That said I think that you have missed a couple of things.

The GOP has hated Ted Cruz for years. They hate Cruz much more than Hillary.

The only thing that they hate more than Cruz is Trump.

The GOP has only rallied around Cruz in an effort to stop Trump.

If there is an open convention the GOP delegates won’t vote for Trump or Cruz. The gravy train that Washington DC lives on would be disrupted by either candidate winning the general election.

If there is a contested convention I will give you 4 to 1 odds that Jeb Bush will be the nominee. I will guarantee that neither Trump of Cruz win the nomination.

Contested convention = Jeb Bush

Although today I remain willing to vote for tRUMP rather than stand by and watch the Hildebeast ascend to the White House, my willingness is eroded each time I hear him spout his "Lyin' Ted" bullsh*t.

Since I know how it all ends (see The Revelation of Jesus Christ), while part of me is concerned about my descendants' future, I won't be crawling over broken glass to stop her.

It’s come to the point where I don’t care if Trump is Conservative. I believe he is, but it doesn’t matter. What matters to me is that he is the only man in the race on either side that genuinely loves his country. I still don’t understand when it became Conservative to back corporations over your country and fellow citizens.. My definition of Conservative has a little more patriotism involved in it then the conservatism I see spouted by some free traitors.

I went back and read past post to try to see where I misunderstood your question. It seems that in post 579, Cvengr gave his analysis of the delegate count along with his conclusion that it would be very unlikely for Mr. Trump to fail to achieve the 1237 vote majority. In his last sentence, he posed the question: "So what’s with the recent campaign to attack those who seek to win delegates? That’s the system and the system is still working."

I replied to his post with #585 and, as is normal custom, quoted in italics the part of his post I was addressing. I then stated: "If you can get a logical answer to that question, I would sure be interested in hearing it." I went on to make what I considered to be an appeal to unity. Perhaps my expressed desire to get an answer to the question posed by Cvengr was considered as my endorsement of the question. If so, I am sorry for the confusion. As far as what was meant by the original question, I had no doubt. I am not going to try to cite any specific examples or belabor the point, but the general discussion about stealing delegates, subverting the will of the people and forcing a contested convention would make the meaning self evident.

I know feeling are running quite high and it is not my intent to further stir the pot. It is my view that the candidates themselves have to work this out. They will do that by one of them winning a majority in the remaining states, by persuading sufficient non bound delegates to support them, or by some accommodation among themselves. It may not be neat and orderly but it is the same process for everyone and has the advantage of bringing closure to a contentious campaign.

We are not selecting a boy scout leader, anointing a king, or even electing a president. We are selecting one individual from a field of 17 contenders to carry the banner for the Republican Party into the general election where coming in second place will be far more devastating than coming in last place in the nomination process. At this point, I don't care who that person is, I just want him to be intelligent and organized enough to conduct a national campaign, stable enough to withstand the slings and arrows coming his way, quick witted and knowledgeable enough to avoid the inevitable traps he will encounter, realistic enough to not expect favorable treatment by the media or his opponent, and yes, even devious enough to take advantage of any and all openings that come up. I don't want him to be my friend, my hero, or even a role model. I just want him to win, no excuses, just win.

I am sorry I did not answer your original question adequately and know that I have expanded this answer way beyond what was necessary, but, I intend it to be my last post on this subject. While I don't agree with the direction outlined at the beginning of this thread, I do respect the work Mr. Robinson has done on this forum and his right to manage it as he sees fit. I don't intend to leave, just to go silent on this subject.

Such a weak argument. Cruz is one senator. OTOh, when has Trump EVER DONE anything in defense of conservative principles? Trump has spent his lifetime funding the enemies of conservatism.

Have known for years that Hillary will probably be the next president. Anyone who doesn't know that hasn't been paying attention to the path this country is on plus the Globalists are running things now and have been for a while.

Getting Cruz elected was always going to be a long shot, nearly impossible but I have to answer to God and to my conscience and knew he had zero chance of getting elected if conservatives didn't get behind him and help. What I didn't foresee was that other conservatives would actually work against Cruz out of fear that Hillary would be elected or that I would be attacked for supporting the true conservative candidate, that's the troubling part. Will continue to support Cruz as the best conservative candidate that we've had in years just won't be doing it here.
