First we have to agree that a problem exists, and then we can consider solutions.
> I am saying, if you have the ability to understand, that other countries might not have the incarceration rate per capita because they eliminate the problem people and therefore have lower per capita incarceration rate.
And the “other countries” you pick out are two of the worst human rights abusers on the planet. So that is the baseline you’re setting. You’re not setting Canada or the UK or Australia as the baseline.
Don’t you feel that those countries would be more appropriate comparisons, given the cultural similarity?
Common sense is not hate. We simply can’t control the insanity of people today, but God can and will!
I don't have to agree to anything.
You are the one that states a problem exists because that is what you think. Therefore, you are the one that needs to develop a solution.
Since I don't care about the problem you think exists, I don't care if there is a solution. Just keep the perverts out of my house, away from my family and I will be happy.
If they are let loose because of your (solution) and are able pillage, plunder and rape you and yours, then it is of your doing.
Enough said about this stupid discussion.
The United States’ historical role is as the leading edge of Western civilization. Our roots come from Western nations in Europe - not the savage backwaters of Asia - and our comparables must be taken from those nations - the UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Portugal and Greece, as well as similarly-situated nations like Canada and Australia.
With proper comparables the numbers for government violence in the US are off the charts. This institutionalized violence is a profound contributor to the debasement of our country, and if you do see things like fatherless families and high taxes and government interference in private affairs as problems, this is a major root cause and needs to be addressed. Sanely, not with a “burn the witches” approach.
So what? I don't care.
> I don’t care.
I’ll file you under “part of the problem”.
No! I am not the problem. The problem is that some people like to do crime and get caught and then are punished for their crime.
If you perceive this as a problem, then get to work and solve it. Quit talking about it and get to work. You aren't going to solve the problem by blowing swamp gas out of your pie-hole.
