Thousands of trade deal foes rally in Germany on Obama visit eve

Tens of thousands of opponents of a proposed transatlantic trade deal poured onto German streets Saturday on the eve of a visit by US President Barack Obama.

A loose coalition of trade unions, environmentalists and consumer protection groups in the northern city of Hanover said they drew a crowd of 90,000 to a march and rally outside the city's opera house. Police mobilised a large force to keep the peace and put attendance at 35,000.

Obama's trip -- to open an industrial technology fair and hold talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel and other European leaders -- was intended to lend momentum to flagging efforts to see the world's biggest trade pact finalised this year.

On a visit to London on Saturday, Obama sought to address sceptics' fears head-on, admitting that some past trade agreements had "served the interests of large corporations and not necessarily of workers in the countries that participate in them".

The Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) has run into major opposition, not least in Europe's top economy Germany, where critics have raised the spectre of eroding ecological and labour market standards and condemned secrecy shrouding the talks.

Trump Effect.

It’s not congress that pointed this out, it’s not the Senate, it’s not the State Department or the Commerce department — This was all Trump. And he’s forcing the Progressives to at least pay lip service to it.

Donald Trump has done more for the U.S in just 9 months of campaigning for the GOP nomination than some Presidents have done in 8 years.

add billions to our economies = funnel billions to globalist interests such as the task force of Heidi Cruz and Company

set the standards for the rest of the world to follow = central governments and their policies already far distant and out of mind, ears and touch with the people, becomes even more distant, more centalized and in the hands of a few global elites where all “standards” are made in a room by globalists never elected by the people, all things are determined by voterless elections and enforced by unelected judges in unaccountable courts and by unaccountable, unelected agencies and central banks who also decide whether we will be allowed to even have paper money, how much, what it will look like, where it will be allowed, what foreigners can take it from us, and whether we are allowed to even travel 20 blocks from where we live in the new global world without their permission or fee assessed to the point where most will no longer travel in their entire life beyond their 25 mile block known as their “little area” and who lives an ebtire life in an ant tower in the “globally connected Clinton initiative”. But we will all have double agent delegates to represent our voice. And the Commissariat.
