That's kinda how I view it myself. As for the LEO's being able to tell who's a felon or nut bag, how do you ever tell if someone is a felon or nut bag at any time?

We are on our way to Constitutional open carry. Just a matter of time. I haven’t seen any open carry in the urban areas but I do know that it is normal in rural areas.

How will the armed citizen know if the LEO approaching them has mental issues? How did we ever get to the assumption that government employees are immune to the stresses that affect us mere mortals?

As for the LEO's being able to tell who's a felon or nut bag, how do you ever tell if someone is a felon or nut bag at any time? Well for that matter, how can we tell if any particular LEO is a felon or a nut bag? They do exist, and when we encounter one we have a helluva lot less options available to us, than when a LEO encounters one. Freedom means having to deal with such occasional problems. Prisons mean not having to deal with them. Liberals can't tell the difference, and don't want to.

It's a great day in America when a state government acknowledges the Founder's true intent of the Second Amendment and stands by their oath to defend our Constitution instead of degrading it and the people's rights and liberties like they do in Kalifornikate, NY, Illinois, and too many other libterd controlled states.

= = =
And I would think concealed would be Constitutional, also.
Some Original Patriot cannot keep his flintlock pistol under his coat to keep the rain off if it ????
About ‘nuts’ with guns — —
One day I visited a shooting range, which had a highway passing by close on the firing line side.
Govt inspectors had asked the range folks during the permit process (I know, really not needed), what happens if a shooter turns and starts shooting at cars [eek!]?
Range guys said, “We would shoot him”.
Nut goes bad ... shoot him.

Wow, LEO's that actually read and understand The Law.
This IS the Law of the land. States do not have the right to impugn Constitutional Rights.

Very well stated. Plus it is perhaps helpful to remember the R. A. Heinlein quote:
“an armed society is a polite society.”
I’ve been reading a lot of Louis L’Amour lately, and lawmen did have to deal with armed criminals and it can be done.... very politely!

...
some senators voiced concerns about how police would be able to tell whether a person open carrying is a felon or is mentally competent to carry a gun. No one who cannot be trusted to carry a weapon should be running around loose.
