Cruz to Win Half Of Pennsylvania's Delegates, "Even If He Comes In Distant Third"
Real Clear Politics ^ | April 19, 2016 | Ian Schwartz

NBC's Hallie Jackson reports Cruz has changed his focus to Pennsylvania and making a play for the state's unbound delegates. Jackson, the network's Cruz correspondent, said even if Cruz has a third place finish in Pennsylvania's Republican primary, he'll win more than half the delegates.

"It's very telling that's Ted Cruz tonight is not in Brooklyn or Manhattan or any of the boroughs or state. He's in Pennsylvania," reported Jackson.

"He'll be in Philly for his watch party tonight," Jackson said. "That's indicative of where he and his campaign see this race going, to Pennsylvania, where they are looking to make a play for these unbound delegates. Even if they come in a distant third, a top campaign aide tells me, they will still, they believe, pick up more than half the delegates there."

"They're looking at more than 30," Jackson said.

Pennsylvania allots 71 delegates in the Republican primary; 54 of which are unbound.

That is all irrelevant now after New York.

Trump is the presumptive nominee and Cruz is an asterisk, like Kasich. They are mathematically eliminated.

It’s time to unite behind the only viable candidate, if we are to win in November. That’s Donald Trump. The power now is in unity. All Aboard!!!

Cheers!

Trump is so strong if everyone else doesn't quit he might not win.

Many headlines seem to be intentionally misleading these days. Click bait to get their numbers up. I refuse to click on any articles on Yahoo any more and a friend sends me links to similar click bait garbage from msn.com and I just delete them after a quick glance at the title of the link.

It’s like the Taboola people have taken over or something.

Exactly. Would love this to be true, but when a campaign aside says something, validation is required.

But, I doubt if he can get 54 people to vote for a loser such as himself.

He can barely get that many to one of his "rallies". And that includes the media and the Waffle House regulars coming in for their breakfast

He’s already won, it’s time to get behind him for the general election.

The Secretary of State of Pennsylvania needs to say:

"If your party is not going to use the results of an election, then we will provide you with:
No voting machines
No polling monitors or officials
No security
No auditing or tallying
No polling facilities
No state property for any use related to your 'election'

Thank you."

That’s because Cruz is nothing more than a lawyer. The man has no knowledge of anything real world.

This is BS propaganda from the Canadian interloper. If you check Hannity’s website, most of the delegates per district in PA are for Trump. Canuck Ted is full of it.

He would likely win all the ones where the party hacks decide. In the states where people vote, Cruz does not do so well.

Ted Cruz couldn’t buy headlines like this. Oh, wait...maybe he can?

Getting bombarded here in PA with emails and robo-calls tonight from groups asking us to vote for Ash Khare, Joyce Haas, Sheila Fitzgerald Sterrett. So, I looked up the one group “NEWDAYFORAMERICA.COM”, which was blacked out and only seen by highlighting it with the mouse, and found they are delegates supporting Kasich. The shenanigans have begun. PA people please do not vote for these people. No matter how you feel about John Kasich, he has lost.

” This tells us how much respect he has for he voice of the people.”

Trump gets 60% of votes yet gets 95% of the delegates.

I actually think the PA rules violate the RNC rules. This hinges on what ballot means. As constructed there are separate ballots for each congressional district with different delegates for each district. from zero to 6 or more from which you can choose three. These are the at large delegates but i think that the RNC wording references a single ballot allowing the selection of all 54 on one ballot. just my thots. Just my thots on it.

heres the part rule 16 re binding.
except for delegates and alternate delegates who appear on a ballot in a statewide election and are elected directly by primary voters.

"Headline: "Cruz to Win Half Of Pennsylvania's Delegates" Article: "Cruz aide says they're hoping to maybe get some delegates in Pennsylvania, in the same way Kasich's campaign says he'll be the nominee."

I just got a fancy glossy brochure in the mail for my voting district (in PA) with photos of the Cruz family and entitled vote for us as delegates (3). We support Cruz.. Since I support Mr. Trump, I feel they aren't going to respect my vote, at all, at the polls. How did we get so far from "one person, one vote".. and into only the GOP Elite matter.. :(
