After the results from the New York Primary started piling in, it was soon realized that Kasich was holding on to a strong second place lead over Cruz. That along with Trump's landslide victory over both of the other candidates, led to some bad news for the Cruz team, coming via the Kasich campaign.
bloomberg.com reports: N.Y. primary “cemented the fact that” Ted Cruz cannot secure nomination outright before GOP convention in July, John Kasich’s chief strategist John Weaver says in campaign memo.

Trump lost to Kasich , not Cruz. Kasich is from Ohio and Cruz is from Texas.

Trump is not a conservative. He is a change agent.
He may get some endorsements like Rudy and Carson.
A sub-segment of Trump’s supporters emotes much. Trump should not be losing his home county - even to Kasich.
Also the dems had many more voters in their primary than republicans. Trump should have signed more people up in the NY primary-including his children.
No way NY is play for the general election now.
Teddy would have stayed at 8-12 percent in every primary and been gone after March 15. Which, coincidentally, is when he should have dropped out anyway, when it became clear he could not win a majority of delegates.

I’m a Texan and I won’t forget it but I think the fact that Cruz only gained 43.8% of the vote of Texas answers that question on an even a bigger scale. After this pitiful performance I doubt he gets re-elected.
