Yeah, I’ve asked before, how come they vote of Trump, but the cruz group comes in and the delegates change their votes? I’m interested. Are the delegates promosed something?

Two points:
Joey Lynn Hough ain’t switching to Cruz because her husband supports him. She’s been a Trump fan long before it was cool to be a Trump fan.

And as for the way the delegates are assigned in Maryland: each congressional district elects three delegates. Those delegates are pledged to the winner of the presidential vote in their district, regardless of who those delegates personally support. They have to vote for the winner on the first round of balloting. And if that candidate wins 35% of the vote in the first round of balloting, they are pledged to that candidate for the second ballot as well. If they don’t get 35% in the first round, the delegate is unbound in the second round. All delegates are unbound in the third and subsequent ballots.
11 more delegates are elected at the MDGOP convention. Those delegates are pledged to the statewide winner, regardless of who they personally support, in the first round. They are also bound in the second round if the candidate gets 35% in the first ballot. They are unbound for the third round.
So if you’re holding out for some sneaky switches in the second round of balloting, look somewhere other than Maryland. And look somewhere other than the Hough house.
