In 8 out of 10 national polls, Hillary Clinton’s favorability ratings are negative by 15 points or more. According to recent CBS and NBS/WSJ polls, Clinton holds negative favorability ratings by 23 and 24 point margins, respectively. A progressive said to “get things done” won’t be able to win the White House with such negative national ratings.
In contrast, Bernie Sanders is the only leading candidate with positive favorability ratings, and this has nothing to do with Clinton being more “vetted.” Bernie doesn’t need private servers and speaks to millions of people in open forums; Clinton is the antithesis of Vermont’s Senator. It’s not that people don’t know about Bernie’s controversies, it’s that he simply doesn’t have a penchant for controversy like his competitor. Unlike Clinton, Bernie Sanders can type an email without the FBI interviewing him or his associates.

Does it really matter if the final nail in America’s coffin is hammered in by:
- A covert muslim with a racist chip on his shoulder and a burning hate for America?
- Or a greedy grifting incompetent bitter old criminal hag who lied and cheated her way through life?
- Or a doddering old communist hippy fart who fist saw his socialist Utopia in an LSD powered purple haze?
I think he will run as an Independent...because he is an Independent. with all the folderol about Cruz and Trump the Dims ARE really stealing the nomination from Bernie IMO. Hilarity is unelectable IMO.
Hilary’s an organized crime figure with a patina of legitimacy.
Sanders is out of his depth as a Senator, and would have trouble running a lemonade stand at a profit if you gave him free lemons.
But this country has demonstrated over the last 8 years that it can put in the highest office in the land a clown with policies that have been almost uniformly disasterous, so I wouldn’t rule out either of those jokers.

A President Bernie would screw everything up so badly that it would destroy liberalism for generations. So, it wouldn’t be all bad.
Hillary's "unfavorable" rating does not preclude her winning if she gets the nomination. It may be extremely high - but Trump's is even higher. (And Cruz's isn't far behind).
So there will be no candidate who has high favorable ratings this round.
Whatever the author thinks about favorability ratings it's not shared by the voters, apparently. Today we'll see what we see in New York, but Bernie is quickly approaching "mathematically impossible" to win the pledged delegate majority.
And then, of course, there are the Super Delegates who will go overwhelmingly for Hillary because that's what they are there for. Hillary and her agent Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, have spent years making sure the Super Delegates are mostly HIllary aligned. They are. And they will do what they were placed there to do, regardless of Bernie's results or the whining of his supporters.
So, other than a six-count felony indictment the week before the convention Bernie will not be the nominee, and therefore he will not be the President.
The opinion of the author that Bernie has the best chance to beat Trump is irrelevant.
Bottom line: this is the dying anguished gasps of the Bernie campaign supporters as his run reaches it's ultimate end and swirls down the toilet.
Bernie will only get the nomination if the Witch is either indicted or has a serious health crisis before the convention that takes her out of the running. The chance for the first is between zip and nil, while the chance for the second is gradually improving, aided by the bern Bernie is putting on her.
Hillary’s already bought and paid for the election... old Bernie doesn’t stand a chance. Anyway, he knows his job is simply to make it look like she fighting hard to win.
I certainly hope this is true.
Most of us missed the intrigue that transpired in Soviet occupied countries. There was much excitement and mystery. This could be our chance to participate in life or death situations.
Think of partisans hurling Molotov cocktails at tanks of the Central Communist Government of the USA!
Think of the anger that would drive us to assassinations of the commissars.

Well, we adventure seekers can rejoice in one aspect of this possibility: Hillary could be the president instead of Bernie and everything would proceed as we would like.
Trump would boringly negate a lot of the socialistic edicts that have been loaded on our backs the years after RWR.
You may be correct in your assessment of Bernie’s demise.
He may very well end up in Fort Marcy Park with his thumb in the trigger guard...yet another suicide.
Hillary will deliver the eulogy at Bernie’s funeral. It won’t be in a synagogue, as Bernie was an atheist.
Perhaps a kind attendee will shove a bagel in his mouth.
If this nation doesn’t repent of it’s evil ways (celebrating abortion, celebrating homosexuality and gender confusion, celebrating promiscuity, practicing idolatry of the Beyonce’s, Biebers, Katy Perry’s of the world, etc.) and God must place his judgement upon this nation, then yes, Bernie Sanders (or Hillary) will become President.
Do not underestimate this.
In 2008, we elected someone with no experience in anything other than breaking arms.
This is a very real possibility.

Of all the candidates, both Pub and Dem, who began this race Hillary would be the worst by an order of magnitude. To my surprise a lot of Dems have opened their eyes enough to see that too.
