CBS Battleground Polls: Donald Trump Extends Leads, Lack of “Authenticity” Dogging Ted Cruz…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 4/17/2016 | Sundance

Posted on 04/18/2016 8:27:15 AM PDT by GilGil

... in the same polls, Ted Cruz is viewed as the candidate willing to tell you everything you want to hear so long as it benefits him. That’s the “authenticity” issue. Just as there is a long-term benefit in positive authenticity polling, there is a long-term detriment in negative authenticity polling.

Opinions of “authenticity” are almost impossible to change once they embed. The word ‘almost’ is an understatement, because no politician in modern times has ever been able to reverse the authenticity component.

You know what REALLY turned me off to Cruz? On Hannity the other night, he kept dodging the question on Party Unity by refusing to admit that Trump could become the nominee and refusing to say he would support a TRUMP nomination. He kept repeating over and over: "That's NEVER going to happen, I will be the nominee and I hope that all of Donald's supporters will rally behind my nomination..."

Using purple dye is voter disenfranchisement! People born with purple thumbs will never get to vote.

There is nothing genuine about Raphael Cruz Jr. Almost no one who actually knows the guy on a personal level for more than a few months can actually can stand to be around him. I do not hate him; I feel sorry for him.

My wife does these fantastic historical displays and is an incredible speaker. At one event a woman asked her what terrible thing had happened in her life to inspire her to create such an incredible display and presentation. My wife quickly rattled of something; but the woman had been dead on accurate. My wife like Ted, had an almost unimaginably horrible childhood and I have no doubt that the reason she is an overachiever relates directly back to that.

Unlike Ted, my wife is very sociable but there are deep wounds that she still carries with her. Ted is like that and his set of behaviors is very recognizable to those of us who have had or live with someone who came from a similar set of circumstances. To me this is more relevant than his purported beliefs and credentials. Ted Cruz should not be president. He is simply another Obama only in different Clothing.

Is “lack of authenticity” akin to “Lyin’?”

Agree. I think a lot of what we see here at FR is wishful thinking and dedicated candidate advocacy tainted with a lot of faux-information (I think of as ‘Infomercials’) or some cherry-picked poll that puts Ted Cruz in a good light while simultaneously explaining that “Ted is only following the Rules; Donald Trump should get better educated in politics.”

Sundance is 100% for Mr. Donald Trump.

I posted his reasons here.

His advocacy doesn't make his research invalid. In fact, all of his research is linked, sourced and quoted by other news outlets.

Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizen, Cuban-Canadian, Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.

Cruz "character":

1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.

2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"

3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.

4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.

5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.

6. Uses Trump's wife in advertising "vote for Cruz" and then screams that Trump hates women, while he "loves them" - keeping few extra mistresses.

Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban-Canadian. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN

(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Up until the last month, I took about 1 year off from coming to the FR. It used to be routine that they would delete redundant stories. Now, i feel like I see the same story 3, 4 or 5+ times.

399 delegates are held by candidates that dropped out or cannot be nominated because they didn’t win 8 contests.

Come Apr 26 Cruz will have no path to the 1st ballot nomination.

I think the 399 delegates not being able to vote for either Cruz or Trump is the fault of the RNC. I believe Trump could win if he could contest for delegates who can’t decide this contest.

On second ballot Doc Carson and Christie delegates vote for Trump. Likely many Rubio delegates vote for Trump because Cruz has a Toxic personality.

I can’t wait for Trump to say “Reindeer Penis Your Fired”

The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.

I think they are trying to loosen up the requirements for president so a Canadian can be president or a Mexcian can be president. And voila we have the North American Union complete with the Amero as the official currency and no border controls.

The same is happening in Europe where they want to join the Middle East and Europe.

It looks so obvious.
