Syria responds to Netanyahu: We will conquer the Golan

It didn't take Syria long to respond to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's Cabinet meeting on the Golan Heights Sunday, in which he declared Israel will never surrender the region that was liberated in the 1967 Six Day War.

Shortly after the meeting on Sunday, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Al-Mekdad told Lebanon's al-Mayadeen that his regime will "retake the Golan Heights by any means necessary, including using military force."

"The Arab Syrian Golan is an occupied territory," claimed Al-Mekdad, referencing UN Security Council resolutions calling the area Syrian.

According to the Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister, Netanyahu's Cabinet meeting was a case of "Israel...trying to be provocative, but (we) do not give in to it."

In his comments at the unique Cabinet meeting earlier in the day, Netanyahu noted on the instability over the border where regime forces, opposition forces and Islamist rebels are duking it out.

"The Golan Heights will always remain under Israeli control. Israel will never withdraw from the Golan Heights," emphasized Netanyahu.

Doesn’t Assad have enough problems?

There is a massive oil deposit underneath the Golan Heights. This is the hook that will draw Gog and Magog into fulfilling Ezekiel 38-39.

Delusional. And nuts — Right down to their deathbeds they’re still hostile and threatening more violence . Islam is Satanic there’s no question about it.

And yet Obama tells us to turn in our guns and trust the Muslims.

O’s only trying to weaken the infidels’ (America’s ) resolve and to disarm those who stand in the way of an eventual Islamonazi takeover of USA.

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Al-Mekdad told Lebanon's al-Mayadeen that his regime will "retake the Golan Heights by any means necessary, including using military force."

Using military force is what cost Syria the Golan Heights in the first place. Threatening to use military force against Israel again is like a guy who cut off his own thumb threatening to cut off his forefinger too.

Assad more than has his hands full. His foreign minister can bluster & blather all he wants.

Besides, Assad has known for years that if he leaves Israel alone, they will leave him alone (while they hold onto Golan, that’s forever nonnegotiable).

Just when you think Syria might actually learn something important from this whole mess (like establishing good relations with your neighbors - except Turkey, they still need a lesson about working with ISIS), Syria has to say something stupid like this for no reason. The people of Syria don’t care about Israel, the Golan Heights, or the Jews. They just want the Syrian and Russian armies to put a bullet in all of BO’s terrorist buddies running around the country.

This is SO typical of the Middle East.

Assad couldn’t stop ISIS without Russian assistance. They are not going to present much of a threat to Israel.

Netanyahu will visit Moscow on April 21 to meet with Putin to talk about Golan. Obama/Kerry are in agreement with Putin.

Netanyahu may be offered a number of concessions if Israel agrees to leave Golan and be replaced by an international peace-keeping force, such as:

An independent state for Syrian Kurds.

Security concessions by Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

A transition from power by Assad and an end to the Syrian civil war.

A determination on the future of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
