Willful Blindness and Our Saudi ‘Friends’
National Review ^ | 4/16/2016 | Andrew C. McCarthy

... When 9/11 finally happened, killing nearly 3,000 of our fellow Americans, al-Qaeda credited none other than the Blind Sheikh with issuing the fatwa — the sharia edict — that authorized the attack. We had imprisoned him, but we had not stopped him.

That is mainly why I finally wrote the memoir in 2008. I called it Willful Blindness . . . and not just because my infamous defendant was both blind and willful. American counterterrorism, even seven years after 9/11 (and fully 15 years after the jihadists declared war by bombing the World Trade Center), had bored its head ever deeper in the sand. It consciously avoided the central truths driving the terrorist threat against the United States.

The most significant of these is that violent jihadism is the inexorable result of the vibrance in Islam of sharia supremacism — a scripturally-rooted summons to Muslims to strive for conquest over infidels until Allah’s law (sharia) is established everywhere on earth. (snip)

The Saudis are the world’s chief propagator of sharia supremacism, sharia being the law of the Sunni kingdom. In Saudi Arabia, Wahhabism, a literalist interpretation of Islam rooted in scripture dating back 1,400 years, is the dominant belief system.

A long and detailed article from Andrew C. McCarthy, former prosecutor of the Blind Sheikh. He lays out the case against Saudi Arabia, Wahhabism, sharia, supremacism and Islam itself, proving that "Sharia supremacism is, nevertheless, a mainstream interpretation of Islam." This is most certainly mainstream interpretation of Islam, not merely some radical, extreme or minority version. And it is an enemy already in our country and one that we must fight as they are fighting against us.

This article puts forth the strongest of arguments to release the missing 28 pages from the 9/11 Commission report. If 60 Minutes runs an episode on it, you know it is well past the time to release it.

I think if the 28 pages are released.....it’s going to permanently stain Bush and his accomplishments. It’s remarkable...we wasted so much effort, and the real enemy just stood there grinning for the past decade, unaffected.

Trump talks about Mexico paying for a wall. He should say that the Royal family WILL PAY for a new World Trade Center to be built EXACTLY the way it was. There are 2-3000 family members all over the world that can be abducted turned over to ISIS. Then there’s always Mecca and Medina.

Reality is complicated. Its possible to be partly right, and yet there is more to the story. Always more, like falling through the looking glass.

Bush with his "Religion of peace" non-sense, and his British counterpart Tony Blair with his "it's about grievances" set us Kafirs back many years in dealing with the Islamic threat, resulting in more killed crippled and maimed returning soldiers because of foolish rules of engagement, and pussyfooting around the Islamic problem, and not confronting it directly. .

This diversion was aided by a follow up of Clinton and Obama. Now it is so painfully obvious even those in Govt and the Military who had been shut up, are now mouthing off about the Islamic problem.- Tom

If a sports Stadium in Florida was burned down...

... and 19 members of the University of Florida football team were caught red handed...

OUR CIA would bomb Florida States and take out the President of Georgia Tech...

The CIA can thank their lucky stars their eff-ups can be covered by ‘classifying’ them top secret.

Trump has come out and said the Saudis are not our friends. Name another politician who has said the same.

So true. And I think the stain is already there. Sadly, this apologist smokescreen for "moderate" Islam is fully integrated into both GOP and Democrat government officials. The author of the Bush Administration's "Religion of Peace" lie was none other than Grover Norquist. The camel was fully inside the tent.

McCarthy is a participant in the cover-up of FBI involvement in the 1993 WTC bombing.

He’s also culpable in justifying torture as national policy.

The time for him to lay out the case against the Saudis was 20 years ago. Why the sudden conversion?

Here’s a thought: freeze their assets, figure out a way to suck every drop of oil from their little sandbox, then turn their ‘country’ into plate glass.

This article is a stuning self-indictment by Andy McCarthy, who’s realky a very good man. After all, what current presidential candidate other than Donald Trump, could clean up the traitorous rot that McCarthy describes here.
