Out of curiosity, I wonder whether the tax/regulation environment for the industry is better in NV or AZ; I would guess AZ, but I wouldn’t bet a startup on my guess of course.

Wouldn’t be surprised if liberals eventually run the remaining made in the USA garment manufacturers totally out of the country. And then they will complain and blame the manufacturers for leaving.
Liberalism is a mental disease.

AZ is OK but our population of illegal gimmedats is also very high and our congresscritters are not too well positioned to do anything about it. As Trump points out, that is why our industry is seeking more favorable playgrounds such as Mexico and China and Japan.

China is losing factories because of not only rising wages but corruption and excessive taxation. The PRC is beginning to have serious economic issues

“That’s OK...I was tired of sewing all day...I’ll just go get a job at McDonalds on the front counter...”

“What??? You’re not hiring???? You’re laying off??? You might close???”

*Why???”

“Ohhhhh...They raised YOUR minimum wage also, huh???”

Big picture? Bad for America. Little picture? Entertaining as all hell. Will a lesson be learned from this? No.

Largely because idiots that voted for this believe that ceo’s should be giving up their salary to fund the working class. They won’t so they’ll always be an excuse as to why this didn’t work

Unions love this as their wages will be going up by the same or more than the amount of Min Wage Increase ... union bosses don’t care how many lose their jobs as long as the money continues to pour into their coffers so the donations to the Democrat party can continue to increase.

I was in Tempe earlier this week for a few days (my son is a county transportation planner), and was actually surprised by how few Hispanics I saw; probably closer to the Tucson area, or maybe I wasn’t looking in the right places :-)

"..unions or any liberal activist groups for help either. They’ve recently begun to acknowledge that rapid increases in labor costs are going to result in a lot of people losing their jobs, but they’re okay with that.

mentally ill, yes. With a huge dose of stupid.

I'm starting to think the Chinese government is bankrolling California politicians so they'll pass laws that will drive business to China.

this is really a good thing:

1. it teaches basic economics to those not able to fathom it.

2. it further erodes those places where liberal politics are vividly displayed.(couldn’t happen to a better state than CA)

3. it will enrich those states who accept these businesses and people. as long as we have federalism.

what is not to like here?
