Like they say, the more you hear and see him, the less you like him.

(posted by Freeper Beautiful Gracious Skies)

“A prominent aide to George W. Bush’s 2000 campaign could barely contain himself when we asked him to discuss Cruz, who worked in the Bush campaign’s policy shop.

This person described Cruz as hyper-arrogant and widely despised, and he emphasized—over and over—that the pervasive dislike of Cruz within the Bush ranks had nothing to do with ideology.

(Cruz, he noted, never objected to Bush’s call for compassionate conservatism, immigration reform, and national education standards, and no one on the campaign regarded him as an ideologue.)

The problem was simple: Cruz’s personality.

“Ted thought he was an expert on everything,” says this campaign veteran, who asked not to be named. “He was a smart and talented guy, but completely taken with himself and his own ideas. He would offer up opinions on everything, even matters outside his portfolio. He was a policy guy, but he would push his ideas on campaign strategy. He would send memos on everything to everyone. He would come to meetings where he wasn’t invited—and wasn’t wanted.”

In fact, this Bush alum recalls, “the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldn’t go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. That’s exactly what he was: a big a$$hole.”

“I don’t know anyone who had a decent relationship with Cruz.” And when Bush became president, his top campaign aides agreed Cruz should not be offered a job in the White House.

“No one wanted to work with him,” this source remembers. “George W. Bush couldn’t stand the guy.”

This person adds, “It’s a real quandary for Bush campaign people: Trump versus Cruz, who to vote for? And it would be a big quandary even if it’s Cruz versus Hillary Clinton. That’s how much they cannot stand him.”

I got to give Trump credit for his ability to change the narrative to his benefit. He turned a total defeat in Colorado and what could have been another week of “is Trump’s support collapsing” stories into a media narrative that Cruz is nothing more than another party establishment stooge, hellbent on stealing the nomination by hook or by crook. If you can turn Ted Cruz into Jeb Bush in the mind of the base, you gotta be good

yep...this was all to change the narrative of trump the inept manager to Cruz the GOPe cheater.

no one believe this idiocy except the mind numb robot supporters

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Paul Manafort recently said Cruz is going to have a very bad April or roughly the next 6 weeks.

I saw him on Hannity. After watching all the "Air Head" campaign managers out there finally a Real adult. I'm Impressed. Trump should have hired him 3 months ago.

I think he's been a good influence on The Donald. Time to ignore Cruz and be more presidential

Plus, I believe the fiasco in Colorado has changed the narrative...away from Trump's so-called mistreatment of Heidi.

You are wrong Cruz attacked first in his closed door meeting

I think you are confusing strategy with attacking. Everyone thought Trump would implode. To most of the electorate he has imploded. It remains to be seen if Hillary implodes more.

The most telling quote from the article....yikes! Maybe Cruz should lay low until after the November Elections?

“Absent of media attention Senator Ted Cruz generally sees his support improve. However, as soon as his speeches, appearances and personal presentations are given increased visibility – his support drops. It is a remarkably unique circumstance almost exclusive to Senator Ted Cruz.”

Nope. The first sally was when Ted Cruz trashed Trump in a private meeting where press were present.

Trump even gave Cruz a chance to walk it back before going on the attack.

Are you suggesting we should accept David Korn's and Mother Jones' opinion on anything as authoritative?

My comment was and remains Cruz started the attacks with Trump. You spin it as you will. Trump had not said one negative thing about Cruz until his nasty behind closed door attack on Trump.

Hard to tell. Trump told Hannity they had a good meeting.

I saw part of that “focus” group with Kelly. You’re right, didn’t accomplish much...

We get Rush time delayed because Arizona doesn’t do Daylight Saving Time, so I just hear the first hour where Rush is going on about this being a DIRTY TRICK! He hasn’t yet blamed Roger Stone, and Mrs. Submareener made me turn Rush off, so I don’t know if he will get around to it.

Rush even accused Martha MacCallam and Kellyanne Conway, a Cruz Super PAC President, of going along with the MEME that no one wanted to listen to Ted Cruz, instead of recognizing it for what is was: A low-down, Donald Trump Dirty Trick!

So this is much juicer than simple disrespect and a snub. If Rush is right, then this is a sign of the kind of dirty tricks we can expect from the evil Donald Trump from now on.

Popcorn! Need more popcorn!

I watched the start of Kelly’s ‘focus group’ pan Trump every time-—one older man tried to make a point about the Trump speech and was glossed over by Kelly-—a couple of fat pigs jumped on Trump as soon as Kelly opened the thing up for comment—she must have picked them personally to suit her hatred of the Donald-—talk about ‘fair and balanced’——bullshit!!

And....I must not be alone, because Ted Cruz, last evening speaking at a Republican Gala event in NYC was totally ignored and shunned by the entire attening audience!!! How any person who objectively chooses to suppport Ted Cruz is beyond me. Go figure.
