Who is Really Using ‘Gestapo’ Tactics?
Conservative Review ^ | 04/13/16 | Amanda Carpenter

Posted on 04/12/2016 7:21:52 PM PDT by writer33

In yet another act of gross exaggeration, Donald Trump’s newly-appointed convention manager Paul Manafort accused the Cruz campaign of engaging in “Gestapo tactics” to win GOP delegates.

Let’s, if possible, put aside how loathsome it is that the Trump campaign would accuse another Republican of doing anything close to what Hitler’s secret police did to the Jews. Trump ought to consider what his own campaign is doing.

Whose campaign is charging Cruz with false crimes at every opportunity? That would be Trump’s.

Whose convention manager says angry voters should “visit the hotel rooms” of delegates who may not support Trump at the GOP convention? That would be Trump’s.

Who said he would “look into” paying the legal fees for a man who sucker punched a protester being escorted out of a rally? Trump.

Agree 100%.

Roger Stone is arranging the seating chart for Beer Hall Putsch II in Cleveland and it is Cruz who uses Gestapo tactics.

It would be laughable if it weren't true. The thuggish behavior from Trump and his organization is ultimately self defeating. It may be very satisfying in the short run to personally insult every opponent, but even if Trump gets the nomination who is going to be inclined to support him outside his existing group. In politics you need to build coalitions. Trump is incapable of doing that.

Ted Cruz’ browns hits showed Phyllis Schlafly how Gestapo is done.

First Cruz uses his wife as a shield, sends out Fiorona and now he sends out his girlfriend.

Is there a skirt this guy doesn’t hide behind?

Pathetic.

At this point I think there is too much water over the dam.

After personally insulting Cruz's wife, calling him a liar over and over again, promoting fake stories in garbage publications there's no way "for the good of the party" that Cruz will support Trump.

Trump is incapable of supporting Cruz. Trump is so consumed with himself if he isn't the center of everyone's adulation then the other person must have "cheated, lied, or stolen his way to the top".

Hitler was aided in part by his willingness to use violence in advancing his political objectives and to recruit party members who were willing to do the same. I’ve only seen one candidate who has himself, as well as his supporters, encouraged violence and intimidation.

Serious question. How can you both say Trump & Cruz agree far more than 80% of the time when Cruz’ positions have always been consistent and tRump’s change sometimes within the same news cycle once he starts getting pushback? Not to mention the fact that Cruz’ knowledge of the constitution is far beyond his?

Military. Shutting down federal departments. Cruz shutting down IRS, Trump verbal support for Penny Plan. ISIS.

Trade and Obamacare are differences.

Obama vs Clinton was nasty in 2008 and he nominated her as SoS.

Politics. Go figure.

Isn’t the authorette one of Ted Cruz’s purported squeezes? She is the one that tweeted about “Daddy Cruz”, got matching fake tattoos with him and started a blacklist of people who disagree with her guy? People that publicly start blacklists of people they disagree with probably should not spout off too much about Gestapo tactics.

“Cruz’ positions have always been consistent and tRump’s change “

Except for the positions that Calgary Cruz changes to match Trump.

Right! Whatever makes you tRumpers justify voting for him.

Newsflash—tRump only uses “BUILD THE WALL!” for applause lines in his speeches, you know, when the crowd is trying to process his word-salad ramblings and he wants to get ‘em riled up again. He’s admitted it himself.

Qality, not quantity is the winning touch. Trump
s backers are quality. like
j
eff sessions, Duncan Hunter, and many others. Cruz backers are Globalists, Lindsay Graham, Goldman Sachs, George Soros, etc. ad infinitum.

Yes. She is.

Her writings are entirely too personal against Trump. Her Twitter feed is 98% #NeverTrump. Her blog/articles like this one are 100% #NeverTrump. When she is on CNN, it is all she can do to control her words, facial expressions, and body language to withhold her #NeverTrump feelings.

The fact that CNN has her on as a panel member is deplorable. Zero semblance of impartiality on her part. I’m trying to watch as little CNN as possible, and when she comes on, I always turn the channel. Zero respect for that vile, hate-filled woman.
