I stand corrected, the Cruz guys have taken over!

Their religion is poison for the republic.

I just googled Ed Martin Prez of Eagle Forum Corporation.

There are several stories up that he and Phyliss asked six women to resign from the board ONE including Phyliss’ daughter Anne, for reason of trying to oust Phyliss Schlafley (sp) her mother.

The two, Ed and Phyliss, accuse in another story excerpt of trying to take over the bank accounts.

ED Martin was the MO state Republican Party chairman in 2015. Apparently the two are for TRUMP, and the board is bitterly opposed.

You are relaying hearsay and you do not know the facts.

FALSE. You do not know what you are talking about.

Actually, I do, which is a problem for you. I think 80-85% of Free Republic posters are completely aware of the nature of Rafael Edward Cruz and his campaign now; in the beginning the con was effective, but no longer.

Ed Martin's Political Career from Wikipedia which he never told Phyllis about his email scandal which cost the taxpayers of Missouri 2 million dollars:

In 2005 Governor Matt Blunt appointed Ed Martin as chairman of the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners .[5] He also headed the leadership team[citation needed] that designed and implemented the Missouri Accountability Portal, an Internet search engine developed by the Blunt administration to track state government spending in order to increase transparency.[11]

In 2006 Governor Matt Blunt appointed Martin as his Chief of Staff.[12] While serving as Blunt's chief of staff, Martin was linked to the controversial firing of Scott Eckersley, then Deputy General Counsel for Blunt. In the summer of 2007, Martin's office had resisted providing his emails to an investigative reporter from the Springfield (MO) News-Leader, who was investigating whether Martin used his office to influence outside groups against political opponents. Martin claimed there were no emails that pertained to the issue. A Blunt spokesman said the administration did not have a policy of retaining emails, although the state Sunshine Law requiring retention for 3 years is widely known.[13]

The administration claimed it had fired Eckersley because he had violated internal policies. He filed a lawsuit against Martin and Blunt for his firing, saying he had been trying to enforce the state law for retention of emails.[14] Several major media outlets filed suit to gain access to Martin's and other emails of the administration. Martin resigned as Chief of Staff in November 2007, followed by Blunt's General Counsel, Henry Herschel.[13]

After a year-long battle to gain access, in November 2008, the Kansas City Star and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch analyzed and reported on 60,000 pages of emails obtained from the administration. They found that Martin had used his state office in 2007 improperly to encourage opposition to Attorney General Jay Nixon among anti-abortion groups, as the Democrat Nixon was likely to oppose Blunt in the next election.[13] He had also pressured political appointees of state agencies to criticize Nixon's handling of some issues as AG. In addition, the newspapers reported that Martin had encouraged outside groups to oppose the nomination of Patricia Breckenridge to an open seat on the Missouri Supreme Court, although Blunt supported her.[13] On May 22, 2009, the Missouri Attorney General's office announced that Eckersley's lawsuit against Blunt and others had been settled for $500,000.[15][16]

Yep. I think your take on this is correct, as is af_vet_1981. The eagle Forum board, which endorsed Cruz, has taken over.

Martin was critical of NRO, calling it a joke; and Eagle Forum definielty endorsed Cruz, weeks before Schlafly endorsed Trump.

So, another twit on the twitlist, Mr. Slyfox.

Palin? Christie? Who will they go after next? Or don’t you think there is any kind of organized effort going on to defeat Trump, and then Cruz?

Martin, president of Eagle Forum since January 2015 and a staunch supporter of its 91-year-old founder, wrote in a post on the group’s Facebook site over the weekend that “word has come of a rogue board meeting and an upcoming hostile takeover of Eagle Forum’s board and its assets. Phyllis Schlafly’s endorsement of Trump is a likely catalyst.”

Members of the board said in a statement that they ousted Martin in Monday’s meeting, specifying no reason. But Schlafly, in her own statement, alleged the meeting was “improper” and that its “conduct will not stand,” so it was unclear whether his removal is official. Neither Martin nor Schlafly could be reached for comment.

Certainly poor timing, to say the least. And Phyllis was calling them out earlier today by name, because they’d disconnected her from a BoD conference call when she pushed back, and previously were not returning her calls, emails, etc.

She commented in an earlier statement that they had no authority to dismiss paid staff, so this sounds like it had been brewing.

Seems like they could have handled Ed Martin without treating their founder so shabbily.

You do realize that Wikipedia is open to anyone’s assessment I think, and articles of favorable and unfavorable content.

Phyliss, the woman herself, proudly endorsed TRUMP. The board was scandalized and officially would have none of it.

According to one article excerpt, the board tried to take over the banking accounts related to Eagle Forum. Thus, this particular dust up.

Yes and Bigfoot was seen yesterday.

If Cruz wins delegates, he stole them, bought them or got them somehow that was illegal. If Trump wins, he is the golden child. If Cruz wins, he did it illegally. If Trump wins...excuse me, When Trump wins he will do so because he is liked by 100% of the US population, right?
