Republican delegates are not going to be likely to support either Donald Trump or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz when they get to the party's national convention in July, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said on Sunday.

"Here's what's interesting," Kasich said, suggesting that he was prepared to go down in history. "I am the second choice of both the Cruz people and also the Trump people. As you know, we've had 10 contested conventions, and only three times has the front-runner won. I don't want to go back in history too far, but I think old Honest Abe went into the convention either third or fourth and came out the winner. So we'll see."

Bill Cunningham who’s on the radio tonight from Cincinnati and knows John Kasich also believes Kasich will win the nomination in the end.
Kasich was in Congress back in the Newt Gingrich days, a Fox News host on Saturday nights for awhile (before Huckabee took the slot) and now Governor of Ohio.
Bill Cunningham also mentioned that Kasich made ‘a lot of money’ on “Wall Street’. Need I say more.

Why would any Trump supporter pick Kasich as second choice? He is the opposite on everything that counts.

So no one likes Kasich in the primaries but they’re supposed to like him in the general election? RIP, GOP.
A tacit admission by Kasich that the RNC is a racketeering influenced and corrupt organization.
I have yet to meet a person who has this guy anywhere on their list of choices. Sounds like he's just trying to rationalize being in very distant third place.
If it goes to a second ballot, the GOPe will have no use for Cruz at that point.
Cruz is not going to be the nominee, no way no how. It will either be Trump or an establishment hack like Kasich or Ryan.
Cruz has not been running to be nominee for some time now - all he is running for is to spoil Trump’s chances, full stop.
So Kasich will be the nominee because he kisses Democrat butt sufficiently? What a mess we would be in.
Damn the voters. The establishment ( secret party bosses) plan to shove Hillary down the D’s throats -— and another left wing nutter down the R’s. Then Let the sheeple choose which controlled clone they want to be president — ha ha — it doesn’t matter one whit — the corruption will continue !! Yippee!!! If the goal of the GOP is to coronate Hillary they will put Cruz in there. They WANT to lose, and that’s why they oppose Trump.
Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to settle for second best.
