‘TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE UNEDUCATED’
spiked ^ | April 8,2016 | TOM SLATER

Posted on 04/10/2016 6:59:40 PM PDT by Hojczyk

On this point, animal-shelter worker Joe was unconvinced: ‘Trump is tapping into the people that are prone to hate, fearmongering and people who are just angry.’ As I move around the pen, ‘I get why they’re angry’ is said time and again. But it’s little more than a throat-clearing exercise. When it comes down to it, the anti-Trump protesters think his supporters are either racist, or plain stupid. ‘People who support Trump are uneducated’, said postgrad student Sally. ‘They don’t have broad minds about what’s going on. I think it’s intelligence.’ For all the talk of ‘making America hate again’, the people who were really being smeared or scapegoated at this rally were Trump supporters – working-class voters who dare to support someone who strays from the PC-politico script. Indeed, the only harsh words thrown at immigrants emanated from the designated free-speech area: as a group of Latin-American men walked past, heading to the rally, a gaggle of college students screamed ‘You’re on the wrong side!’.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike Donald Trump. He’s a crass opportunist, who, for all his talk of sticking it to the freedom-squishing status quo, has more than his fair share of authoritarian tendencies. But this protest in a sleepy New York suburb, and the wretching that Trump has sparked among the cosmopolitan classes nationwide, isn’t really about him. It’s about his supporters: the dumb rednecks who, Sally and Co tell us, know not what they do.

Trump may not go the distance at the Republican convention in July, but this fear and loathing of the masses is here to stay.

And theObama and Hillary supporters are the biggest dimwits on the planet. The most naive, gullible, and sociopathic mental nutcases human history has ever seen.

< The most highly educated of our society are frequently the most stupid.

Educated to the point of stupidity and so badly they no longer know what truth is or isn't.

>> Easily manipulated, perhaps

A distinction that implies the educated are easily manipulated?

Trump is a symbolic departure from the long-standing manipulation of the GOP Establishment.

Post grad in what, Sally...basket weaving? Trump supports are not uneducated. I have two college degrees, from first class universities, in the sciences and in Engineering. And I would suggest that my IQ is miles beyond hers. I support Donald Trump because he is the only truthfully honest candidate in either party. He does not try to be PC. F' PC!

Is Mr Trump Conservative? When I weigh all the pros and cons, I have to say yes. Is Lyin' Ted Conservative? I see little evidence that it is other than 'show'. He is GOPe through and through.

Go TRUMP!

Above average IQ is not a necessary precursor to good judgment. But those that insist it is are certainly ill-natured.

Trump supporters are angry about our immigration laws not being enforced, the 20 trillion dollar debt, and a president who doesn’t follow the constitution. This anger is due to intelligence not stupidity or racism.

When the deficit finally catches up to us and the economy crashes hard as a result, all of ‘these broad minded’ and ‘sophisticated people’ will be the first ones to scream and cry and weep. Having zero survival skills beyond, social networks, and possessing only self important yet irrelevant jobs, they’ll wonder why no one did anything to prevent this travesty.

All we’ll be able to say is, “We were trying, but you labeled us as mean and sent the corrupt dudes back in.” Oh well: Total economic collapse only takes 50-100 years to recover from...once the violence settles down.

I admit that my BA is forty years old now but at least we all agreed that free speech applied to all. But of course the left has had forty years to get that quaint idea supplanted by the fascist view that is currently held by “educated” people. Their idea of social justice is to reject opposing views out of hand without critical examination and anyone who disagrees is:
A. Racist
B. Ignorant
C. Homophobic
D. Islamophobic
E. Immoral
F. Miscogenistic
G. All of the above/supply your own hate speech term.

‘People who support Trump are uneducated’, said postgrad student Sally.”

Education and indoctrination go together. For many college graduates it’s about 6 parts socialist indoctrination to 1 part education. Sally isn’t nearly as educated as she thinks. She’s spent her time and someone else’s money receiving false indoctrination.

It reminds me of the Mark Twain quote: Those who do not read newspapers are uninformed. Those who read newspapers are misinformed.

Whether we are talking about college education or reading newspapers, we can ask “who is better off?”

How old are you ?

Lots of people Trump's age went to college. But now, people who don't belong there go. That makes it WORTHLESS! At least back then, there wasn't grade inflation and the damned AA.

Trump is not nasty nor corrupt; he IS old fashioned....an OLD FASHIONED PATRIOT!

Cruz, OTOH, is a BIG GOPEer and has always been one. He was NEVER an "OUTSIDER" and he IS corrupt!

Trump supporters are called “uneducated” and “stupid”, by people who REALLY are both of those things; no matter where they went to college.

Thanks for pointing this out.

I support Trump, I am an EE, my wife is a Doctor with 5 degrees from colleges and universities. I was at the county Republican convention and all the people I talked to that were Trump supporters were college educated at the very least.

This is a lie just like the lie that Trump doesn’t do well with woman. In Wisconsin the same percentage of women in exit polls by CNN said they support Trump. Cruz had the gender gap 6 percent more men voted for him.

Way to go Ted, Colorado is a great example of how your a Constitutional Conservative, no vote is not constitutional. Phony lyin Ted, out of the Ten Commandments he for sure has routinely broken 4 of them.
