They are still more Republican than Cruz and Cruz’s friend Romney.
To: Slambat
Why would the Trump kids vote for Cruz? They’re obviously well educated and very intelligent.

Yeah, well this 52 year long registered Republican who has voted Republican in every election since 1964 will remain a registered Republican only until after the California primary in June.
The leadership of the Republican party has proven to be a bunch of corrupt bastards. Come late June, my wife and I will be changing our registration to Independent. I have two words for the Republican leadership, and they are not Happy Birthday.

Too bad all States aren't like that. Michigan has a stupid open primary which means the CommiecRATs can select who they'd like to run against

The GOPe is a total of about 200 people which include those politicians we know and the consultants who every once in a while show their faces, and their lackeys who are rich.
They are in panic mode now and not necessarily because of Trump, although he helped to jump start it.
My point is there are way more of us than there is of them.

As I’ve said before, Mr. Trump would be just as successful running as a democrat.

I could not vote in our state’s Republican primary since I went Independent after the NY23 fiasco is 2009. That’s where the GOP candidate was losing to the Tea Party candidate, dropped out, and told his supporters to vote for the Dem, who subsequently won. That told me all I needed to know about the GOP and nothing has changed since.
To: Kaslin
This, along with Trumps poor ground game, will be blamed on Cruz, the establishment or both.

I only know that you have to switch in NY 25 days before the previous general election because I wanted to switch to the Dem party to vote in local primaries here in Brooklyn in 2005 (there is no local Republican party in Brooklyn) after I moved here in 2004 and didn’t switch in time. I seriously doubt anyone else knows it.
BUT, this meant I knew to switch back to the GOP back in July 2015 when I saw a competitive GOP primary on the table. Maybe the Trump kids should have been smarter, but I doubt hardly anyone knows about this rule except for me.
Btw, there will be plenty of Republicans who won’t be able to vote in the NY Primary in 2016, and don’t be so sure they’re all Trump supporters (I know a couple of specific Cruz supporters in Brooklyn who are registered Dem because of local elections). What do you think happens to the voters like Sean Hannity (though he’ll vote for Trump) who are registered to the Conservative Party. They’re out of luck too.
To: Cats1
Yeah, it’s an option in NY. About 20% of voters all told.

Congratulations! Yea, not always good to say everything you think to your spouse.
To: Kaslin
You are talking about personal choices. Considering the crapola tactics in Colirado and other places I would point out that some don’t take the votes of citizens to be very meaningful
