This is the key to the presidency. Make no mistake, if HIllary wins, 98% of Bernie supporters will vote for her and if Bernie wins, 99% of Hillary supporters will vote Bernie. The old media is either the divider of republicans and the unifier of the RAT pack.
Good outline of the precise plan of the old media empire.
Better than I would have thought, but not enough of course to beat the popular Mrs. Bill.
Sounds like something Denny Hastert would have liked to have said.
>>It makes no difference to the GOP if the Democrat wins as long as nothing disturbs the Democrat=Republican/Republican=Democrat BEAST.
It does make a difference to them. The GOP needs to lose to preserve the present balance of power that keeps funneling our nation’s wealth to the top 10%. If a Republican became president, then the middle class might demand meaningful jobs instead of free stuff. A Democrat president’s job is to lead the people to the trough and give them some free stuff so they people stop thinking in terms of “I need to work to pay my own way”.
Progressivism is 20th century Socialism for the masses and Crony Capitalism for the top 10%. It is the system where your boss will give you a free coffee mug as a reward for the “most profitable year in the history of the company” and then tell you that a 1% raise is out of the question.
I’m willing to vote for the republican candidate if they are the one that gets the most delegates.
If cruz (some how) ends up with the most delegates before the convention I’d vote for him.
If the Republicans put up some loser or just throw out trumps delegates because he fell short of the magic number than I’ll sit out the election. It won’t matter if Clinton a GOPe stooge is president.
LOL, if 33% didn’t vote for the GOPe, the GOPe is just Uniparty.
‘Conservative’ Freepers would rather have Hillary or Sanders as President than any other Republican if Trump doesn’t get the nomination is the sense I’m getting from these comments.
There is no such thing as "the" Tea Party as a formal political party. It is a term that describes any number of separate groups that refer to themselves as one "tea party" or the other . So, Trump cannot run as the candidate of the "Tea Party" because it doesn't exist.
The fact is, self-described "Tea Partiers" are all over the place when it comes to Trump anyway. Maybe of them like him, and many absolutely despite him. Those tea partiers who consider themselves strong conservatives are much more likely to oppose him.
His only options other than the GOP are to run as a write-in independent, or to bail out early and go for the nomination of one of the pre-existing smaller parties. If Trump is blocked via GOP crap maneuvers then he should run not third party, but TEA PARTY. Its been a long time coming.
You may well be right. The problem is that Trump will be even worse at holding on to GOP voters, so whatever cross-over appeal he has is likely to be lost in the GOP defections.
The painful reality is that we're probably screwed no matter who gets the nomination.
>>Republicans do want to lose. Well, that explains everything since 2006. Thanks.
You’re welcome. I keep hoping that I’ve been wrong for the last 20 years, but every 2-4 years they double down on their “stupidity” (which is not really stupidity) to make sure that the balance of power stays the same. No matter how much of a win we hand them, they always give away the trophy. If the Dems gain too much control, they also make sure that the balance swings back soon.
You are legally correct about the Tea party not being a formal party but it would be more about running under a label as opposed to a party. After all isn’t the GOP nothing more than a mere label anymore? It’s become a fools party. What does the old fool Mitch stand for? And then there’s the young fool Ryan. GOP leadership is so stagnant that the people are starving for label that means something, even I it’s single issue such as “build a wall”.
No. It is actually a distinct legal entity that gets access to ballots for it's nominees, etc.
