The federal government and big energy companies lost an important round Friday in their effort to block a climate change lawsuit by young plaintiffs who contend the U.S. is failing to protect them from the harmful effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Coffin in Eugene rejected motions by the U.S. government and trade groups representing the energy companies to dismiss the lawsuit by 21 plaintiffs ages 8 to 19.

Well, I don’t know about that, but thanks.
You put a bright spot in my otherwise mundane day =^)
Personally, I like to do the snowflake crushing with my skis that the rest of America doesn’t want to do.
Meh- I’m more like as liver spot than a bright spot- but thanks-
Going through the Obama years and all its travesty has dulled my feelings of surprise, outrage and shock. All I feel now towards the Left is a simmering but xontrolled righteous anger.
My guess is the lawyer works for some sorts affiliated group. Obviously anot agenda driven and judge shopped case. The government probably won’t put up a defense.
“U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Coffin in Eugene” nuff sed another enemy of America
“People label our generation as dreamers, but hope is not the only tool we have,” the teen said.”
Your generation is labeled as whiny A-holes, not dreamers, and hope is not a tool.
Climate change reparations...
Yep - probably one that supplies arms and other "tools" to persuade folks with....
“They are demanding that the U.S. government be forced to create a plan that would significantly cut the emissions.”
So they are demanding tyranny. Judicial tyranny.
Beautiful, unique, fragile, melts under the least amount of heat or pressure.
That's been my position all along. If all who believe in this nonsense would quit breathing, Global Warming and quite a number of other world problems would be solved.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Seems the only defense the government would have would be to admit man-made global warming doesn’t exist, which they won’t do. So, settling out of court will be the route they take.
The purpose of the man-made global warming hoax is to enact the first world-wide environmental law. This would be the first law in the upcoming world-wide government. All humans will need to be subject to one government, and this hoax is the first step.
These little jerks will never hold real jobs. They will either be politicians, teachers (propaganizers), or professional activists. I don’t know how we got to the point where someone can call himself an activist as if that were a legitimate occupation. Sometimes I think too much wealth destroys a nation when we have people who can live solely by sponging off a wealthy sponsor.

Maybe Planet 9 will end their miserable existence...very soon.
As long as it’s at least five minutes, I’ll be satisfied.
No, if you were THAT judge, you’d probably be doing everything you could to help them succeed. Lawsuits like this are a complete scam anyway. Leftards sue the feds for insufficient tyranny. The “defedant”, therefore, is actually on the same side as the plaintiff, and will either “lose” (meaning they get vast new powers), or settle (meaning they assume vast new powers). They won’t even let you sit on a civil or criminal jury if you know anyone involved; people need to start disregarding any ruling or settlement obtained in this crooked way.
