President Barack Obama says a functioning American democracy is what's at stake in November's elections.

He says it's important to elect leaders who believe compromise isn't a dirty word, who listen to those who disagree with them and respect those who are unlike them.

Compromise is vastly overrated by the press, educators, elites and other liberals,

Every compromise with democrats advances the racist, godless forces of socialism, communism and the one-worlders
while it chips away at the foundations of freedom, independence and traditional American values.

And that is exactly why democrats like Obaba tout it to the shallow and foolish as a great idea.

Ayn Rand: "In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit."

“American democracy is what’s at stake in November’s elections.”..........

He meant the election of seven years ago. He sure as hell has done a great job of destroying it.

This from the man-child who believes compromise is a one-way street that goes his way only, who uses the IRS and other government agencies to crush those who disagree with him, and who hates everyone who is unlike him? I'll give that a perfect ten on the irony scale.

The US is not a “democracy”—you’d think the nations leader would know that....

Exactly. But they’re trying hard to make it into a tyrannical democracy. And the scumbag has largely succeeded. So if he’s saying all or some of the crap he’s done could be undone, hopefully he’s right.

Compromising with Communists is a dirty word. There is no place on the journey to Communism that is acceptable.

...a functioning American democracy...

This "constitutional scholar" doesn't know that America is a Constitutional Republic???

And he wonders why people don't like him.

It isn't the color of your skin that is the problem, it's the discolor of your beliefs.

What he is saying is not just political hyperbole. It sounds like he is laying the groundwork for “saving our democratic republic”, which would of course provide a convenient case for him to extend his stay in office and hold on to power. Can’t allow the forces of evil to take over the country don’t ya know. /sarc

If it looks like the Dems are going to be defeated and his “legacy” will be completely dismantled by the incoming president, Obama would not let anything stop him from manufacturing a convenient excuse to justify his continued rule. He has already demonstrated that he has no regard for the Constitution or our laws. And he knows few would stand up to him.

Imagine if a Republican president was routinely exceeding the bounds of his authority, abusing his power, making law through executive orders, and circumventing the legislative process. Now imagine the congress was under Democrat control. They would not stand for this. One thing I reluctantly give Democrats credit for is that, unlike the weak and feckless Republicans, they fight hard for their causes. Democrats would never allow a Republican president to step all over them.

If both major parties are rigging their nominations how can there be any claim of democracy?

Did I miss where there was progress BACK toward a Constitutional Republic in some ‘compromise’??

All I’ve seen is hard L-E-F-T, with eager GOP(e)/RNCs support.

I expect no less from the resident of the W.H.
