Cruz to O’Reilly: You ‘Defend’ Trump ‘A Lot’
Breitbart ^ | 4/8/16 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 04/08/2016 2:29:12 AM PDT by markomalley

Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly that he defends GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump “a lot” on Thursday’s “O’Reilly Factor.”

After Cruz pointed to Trump’s donations to liberal politicians, O’Reilly objected that these donations weren’t made “as a politician.” O’Reilly then advised Cruz to have a press conference in Penn Station to see what has happened to it under Mayor Bill de Blasio (D).

Later on, Cruz argued there’s “liberal intolerance” in New York state, and stated that New York State Senator Rubén Díaz (D) told him that he knew exactly what Cruz’s reference to “New York values” meant, and that Díaz pointed to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s (D) statement that “extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay” “have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

O’Reilly responded that “Trump doesn’t subscribe to any of that.” Cruz objected that Trump does because “he funded it.” O’Reilly again said that this was done “as a businessman.” And “You can have two lives.”

Maybe O’Reilly should have brought up the fact that Glenn Beck has been using his 3 hour a day, 5 days a week radio show for Cruz defending and Trump bashing. What other candidate has that?

Cruz is always working to bring the world around to his deluded, deranged viewpoint.

What deluded deranged worldview would that be ?....

A Republic based on the Constitution?

A smaller government, reined in government power, sovereign borders, etc..?

What has been amazing to me is how many of his supporters have willingly given up their will to this madman.

LOL...If that isn't "the pot calling the kettle black"....

I don't know what is...

Stuttering Ted blows every interview with his negativity and sour attitude. He can’t stop talking about Mr. Trump, whom he loves to refer to as “Donald,” when in fact, Cruz would be better served by talking about himself and promoting his own agenda!

I stopped listening to Savage (3 hour afternoon drive-time) because that is a non-stop Trump commercial.

(Oh, and by the way, I never, ever listen to Beck)

I’d like to add nobody knew politically who Ted Cruz was until only 4 years ago or about his views.

So I guess his job as "Solicitor General of Texas" was a part time gig ?

The crap you people make up about Cruz....!!!

Even if your statement is true, (it's not) your candidate as early as nine months ago did not consider himself as a "conservative"

St Ted is prone to pontification. He’ll say anything to advance his ambitions. Makes up lies like “Pres Trump is going to work with Sen Harry Reid.” Cruz doesn/t even know Reid is retiring and wont be around when Trump is president. Isn/t it strange? Sen Ted is unaware of what’s going on in the US Senate. Texans have a real loser representing them.

Cruz cant win the required delegates....so he goes around peeing in other candidate’a pinch bowls.

BACKSTORY Ten months after Cruz was elected to the Senate, his long-held ambitions for the presidency began in earnest. Trusting Texans did not know Cruz was using the Senate seat to advance himself into political power.

Cruz is looking like ex-Texas Gov Rick Perry.....two stealth candidates trusting Texans hardly knew.

At first, Cruz (like Perry) looked good....prez material, even. Then candidate Cruz (like Perry) began admitting things that trusting Texans knew nothing about.

Gov Perry shocked his constituents when he admitted in a presidential debate that he was using trusting Texans tax dollars to give illegals in-state tuition...and that they were heartless b/c they did not like this use of tax dollars. (Perry also installed the country/s first Sharia Court in Texas....active to this day).

Cruz heaped on the surprises:

<><> I didn/t know I was a Canadian citizen when I ran for the Senate until the media exposed it.

<><> I told trusting Texas voters wifey and I were liquidating family assets so I could get into the Senate.

<><> I didn/t know I was supposed to tell the FEC I borrowed over a million from my Wall Street margin accounts to fund my campaign.

<><> I told Mark Levin the borrowed funds were used for campaign ads....but I didn/t report this as required.

<><> And so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

BACKSTORY In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to trusting Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes from Texans.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said he didn/t know.

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put Texans through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

Cruz’s latest numbers indicate he would lose a primary challenge for his Senate seat. Clearly, Ted isn’t as well liked in Texas as he wants everyone to think.

In the Texas prez primary, Cruz did not do as well as expected even w/ Texas Gov Abbott running the show. Cruz didn’t even come close to winning a majority in Texas. He would have gotten a lot more delegates if he had.

Cruz got 1,239,370 votes but that/s only 44% of the vote-—56% of his own constituents rejected him. delegates.

NY/er Donald Trump got a whopping 757,618 votes....27% of the vote....he got 47 delegates. Floridian Even Rubio got 502,223 votes....that/s 18% ... w/ 3 Texas delegates.

Cruz spent a bundle but came away looking like a reject.

What really gets me is the Corker bill and Mr. Cruz's explanation of why he voted for it.
"I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama’s ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal. I will continue to lead the fight to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to protect the national security of America and our allies."

If Mr. Cruz really wanted debate about the merits of the Iran deal why not insist that the deal be considered a treaty, as it rightly should have been? The only reason for the Corker bill was to prevent that debate from occurring.

On which conservative, constitutional principle is denying the United States Senate its proper role in advising and consenting on treaties made with foreign nations based?

Mr. Cruz should have voted no on cloture and the final passage for the precise reason that the bill is an affront to the constitution.

That is the problem with Cruz!

Someone is giving him very bad advice!

He should be talking about what he plans to do as President, not harping on Trump.

Cruz was a unknown nationally. Of course you knew who he was in 2011. BTW, Cruz was working for a law firm from 2008 to 2012 when he decided to run for the senate. His law firm where he was a partner gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Dems and Obama and Hillary.

Does Cruz ever talk about what he’d do to make America great? IDK.

When questioned, he will say we need to talk about issues but he never does.

All he has ever done in the senate is grandstand, I don’t believe he has ever accomplished much.

His law firm where he was a partner gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Dems and Obama and Hillary.

Again, meaningless nonsense...

So your colleague at the place you work gives the Clintons a donation, you somehow are accountable for it ?

Of course, I would be remiss in not pointing out your candidate also gave LOTS of money to all sorts of liberals, democrats, over his lifetime...

I guess in the Trump world that doesn't count !!!

Well I think that someone that does not even live on this continent, someone that does not even in the western hemisphere, someone that is not dealing daily with the criminal illegals flooding int my Texas might want to rethink he constant bashing of the only man running that wants to build the wall. But that's just me.

Maybe if you lived in the USA and had your house broken into, had just stuff stolen, had friends beaten up and raped you'd see things differently.

But hey, carry on with your constant bashing of Trump from nice safe Germany. I like Germany I lived there for 3 years back in the 60s. Nice place.
