So don’t use paypal, but also don’t use ebay because they are one and the same.

PayPal actually separated from eBay about a year or so ago, so they really are a separate company, although they do partner with eBay and a lot of other virtual vendors to facilitate payments.

When I purchase something online, I NEVER opt to pay through that outfit. I consider them scum. I pay directly through my own plastic.

Almost 10 years now, some stinkin arab phished my password for paypal and stole $50 to charge a game. I posted a complaint with Paypal's resolution department and they pretty much just shrugged their shoulders and said, "Nothing we can do about it."

I may move funds THROUGH Paypal but I'd NEVER, EVER store money in Paypal for more than a day.

Even above and beyond todays political problem, they're not to be trusted in any way, shape and form.

Ebay is disgusting, and I boycotted BOTH Paypal and Ebay long ago.

My only regret is that I can’t boycott them AGAIN!

Eh, as far as I’m concerned the money goes into the shareholder pockets, so they agree with this policy, but I don’t have to reward them with business.

Paypal is a publicly held corporation. I do not quite understand how a CEO has decided to express his political views over his fiduciary duty to the public shareholders to maximize shareholder value. What is to keep a public corporation CEO or Board refusing to relocate operations to Oregon because of the assisted suicide law or Colorado because of the legalization of marijuana? Very slippery slope here The Board needs to fire him for violating his fiduciary duty and if they do not act why would a shareholder who does not agree with his political views not sue him and the board for violating their fiduciary duty in favor of advancing their personal political agenda?

I used PayPal one time and I was ripped off. I lost over $100. A lot of scams use PayPal to steal from unsuspecting people who go to a cleverly disguised site. I will never use PayPal again.

I have never used PayPal and I’ve never used e-Bay. I wouldn’t even know how to go about it, so absent is my interest in either.

I had a friend that was going to buy a sofa advertised on Craigslist, was talking price with the seller when the homeowner returned and asked his friend what the hell he was doing selling his furniture. It is definitely buyer beware, but not all bogus by any means, I have sold four cars on Craigslist.

Progressives say they want democracies....rule by majority...rule by majority always ends up hurting minorities.....progressives say they like minorities....

With logic like that.... progressives are technically insane.

I think it makes sense. There are more potential customers who share Paypal’s value system than there are of the socially conservative kind, whose numbers are dwindling. On the other hand, Paypal’s international market is expanding... It is a move with little downside to Paypal.
