The GOPe/RNC are proud to have your support.
The DNC is proud to have your support
Per D1's calcs.
Cruz will be mathematically eliminated in two weeks.
I’m trying to get you to wake up to the fact you are here fronting for the GOPe/RNC position.
So instead of you realizing that you are, you claim I’m representing the DNC position.
Trump is running on a majority of the things Reagan ran on. He is despised by the Left.
Somehow, to you, this equates to me being the ombudsman of the DNC.
LOL
Thanks for letting us know what they were up to.
Good grief, they think those numbers will fly?
THAT IS MY ENTIRE ISSUE WITH TRUMP. HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE.
RCP has it as: Trump, 743; Cruz, 517; Rubio, 171; Kasich, 143; Unbound/TBD, 129....for a grand total of 1,703 delegates thus far. This leaves 769 left in the remaining primaries...Total of 2,472. We’re pretty close with these numbers!
There is one little fly in the ointment; Only 17 of the Pennsylvania 71 delegates will be bound to the primary winner. So, 54 delegates will go into the unbound/TBD pool of delegates. In this case, the actual number of delegates remaining in the upcoming primaries is really 769-54=715!
Today, Trump needs 494 more delegates from the remaining 715 to reach the promised land of a 1,237 majority in Cleveland. That’s about 69%.
Based on the current numbers, Cruz needs 720 more delegates for a majority and can’t get there mathematically as only 715 are still in play going forward. Oh well, he should probably quit now and go back to Texas!
However, when Rubio endorses Cruz (and he’s already hinted at this post-Florida) and releases his 171 delegates, Cruz will have close to 688; Oops...Cruz back is in play, but still needing about 77%.
When the RNC power brokers finally have their chat with John Kasich about dropping out and Kasich releases his 143 delegates to vote for Cruz, Cruz will have up to 831 delegates and will only need 57% of those remaining.
Of course, those wily RNC meanies will probably be able to swing the 129 delegates in the current Unbound/TBD pool over to Cruz bringing him to about 960 delegates. In this case, Cruz will only need to secure 39% of the delegates in upcoming primaries.
Upcoming Cruz WTA states where he will likely win include IN, NE, MT, & SD, totaling 159 delegates. These states would then get him to 1,119.
Of the other remaining states totally 556 delegates, Cruz would need about 118, or 21%. Trump could still need the 494 delegates, or 89%.
So, is Trump really in the dominant position of this race? I don’t think so...
Cruz has been consolidating the establishment forces behind him in his ascension, as he said he would always do...he’s also organized in every state to get his people elected in the local delegate races planning a second ballot win...many call this cheating...I call it smart politics and like his chances!
Trump continues with his adolescent tweets further alienating the party and jeopardizing his general election chances by pissing off most women. He just can’t help himself...
In reality, The Donald’s chances are now greatly diminished! It’s really time for Trump supporters to come over and support Cruz so that we don’t end up with Hillary!
You poor thing.
I’m not going to waste by time shooting down those point by point. After doing it hundreds of times over the last ten months, it just doesn’t interest me any longer.
You just flail around on the forum spouting nonsense, and Trump will continue on to victory.
Poor David, in the hip pocket of the GOPe/RNC.
What I meant to write was:
What no one is talking about is that Cruz will go in to a contested convention with more delegates than trump.
That is actually quite reasonable as a possibility.
The delusions of the Cruzliar camp are compound but plainly ridiculous. The idea that Trump is some sort of profound truth teller is equally absurd.
Trump is one of the most serious anti-conservative advocates of our time. His ad hominem style has character assassinated: Scott Walker, jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Ben Carson to name just a few.
Trump demonizes President Bush and thinks that it was Bush’s fault that 911 happened and he thinks it was wrong to go into Iraq. He can run comfortably with the Sanders and Clinton camps on those points.
The Trumpsters are infuriated that their conventional tactic of character assassination has not caused the Cruz camp to fold like a cheap tent as has happened with so many other campaigns.
The truth is:
Cruz was a conservative being assaulted by the GOPE long before Trump supposedly changed his mind and became a “conservative”
What little Trump knows about conservatism— he learned from Cruz in the debates.
Cruz faced and defeated Dewhurst here in Texas long ago in his process to become senator. The Elite absolutely favored Dewhurst and worked to destroy Cruz just as you and the rest of your GOPE/ Independent/ Democrat allies are doing now.
I am done with the silly Christian hypocrite game. After seeing Palin’s church burned with women and children inside one month after the election in 2008 and no one said a word, I know exactly what is going on in this game. I am no longer playing.
If Cruz committed some sin that bothers you then go ahead and cast your political stone while you stand in the dark shadows of King Donald who has never needed forgiveness. I think Cruz does need forgiveness even if the perfect Donald does not. That is what qualifies cruz for office — it does not disqualify him.
That is why there is a resurgence for Cruz. It is frankly embarrassing here at FR to see people swimming in the guttural hatred of Cruz and engaging in all manner of ad hominem as if we were posting on Huffpost, DU, or some other radical left wing site.
Nothing prevents anyone at FR from advocating for the candidate based on the Conservative merits they see in them.
There is a lot to see from Cruz. Not only is there not much to see of conservatism in Trump. One can see many statements and attacks against conservatism.
Aww, that’s okay. Somehow he’ll survive.
Thanks.
I don’t like them very well at all.
But I am not pretending that those apples just fell off the Objectivity tree.
Trump supporters here and across the nation have spent an inordinate amount of time personally demonizing ‘lying slimy jerk ugly adultery loving Rafael Cruz’
Quite frankly, all that hate can go back to the place from which it originated.
I do not give a wit about the stupid ad hominem slime hurled at Cruz. He is conservative. He has credentials and successes. He is the best candidate the RNC has had in decades ! I think he has actually much better than Reagan.
Trump supporters have created this nightmare of ethos for Cruz.
I welcome their efforts to rectify the childish effort they made to destroy this good man and his entire family.
And your integrity needn’t be for sale or extorted, as I see it.
Only to the point of being able to clinch the nomination prior to the convention. However, if he prevents Trump from doing the same, the playing field is leveled come Cleveland.
Ethical politics? A contradiction in terms. However, that said, what I mention is apparently within the rules.
Point is, this isn’t over. Not by a long shot unless Trump gets to 1237 before Cleveland and I don’t know if that’s going to happen. Originally I thought it would, but I’m not as sure anymore.
Keep dreaming! Go Trump Go!

Yes, Trump has a day job to fall back on...billionaire!
Well, in fairness the “junior” Senator has a cush government job to fall back on too.
“:^)
Hold your breath. Let's have Hillary, Loretta, and a Democrat House and Senate. Because with Cruz running Hillary will win. No reward for the principled gangsters of the GOP.
