Kasich Campaign: ‘The Nomination Contest Is Now Wide Open’ 9the Ralph Nader of the GOP)

The John Kasich campaign declared Tuesday night that “the nomination contest is now wide open” as early exit poll results predicted a Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

97%

victory over Donald Trump in the Wisconsin primary. Kasich campaign manager John Weaver sent out a memo explaining that Trump will probably not get to 1,237 delegates now, opening up the convention floor for a second-ballot Kasich power play. Cruz is currently racing to steal delegates to win on the second ballot as the Republican Establishment hints that it might run Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)

56%

at the convention in Cleveland.

Weaver wrote:

This week will be remembered as the one in which Ted Cruz and Donald Trump both effectively admitted they will not reach the GOP Convention with enough bound delegates to be the nominee.

Tonight’s results will solidify the fact that no candidate will reach Cleveland with 1237 bound delegates. Heading into today, Ted Cruz was already mathematically eliminated, needing 102% of outstanding bound delegates. Donald Trump needs to win 2/3 of remaining bound delegates.

Kasich is banking on the idea that no one will win on the first ballot, but that neither Trump nor Cruz will yield. Kasich will then campaign for delegates as the compromise or go to candidate, acceptable to the party bosses. It is a plausible scenario.

But then again, there is Bush waiting in the wings and he thinks he is still the real nominee. He is the demented one.

Kasich is either a fool or a tool; time will tell which it is.

All he’s doing is helping Hillary get elected. The Democrat operatives (which for other people call GOP-elitists for some unknown reason) are going to use any excuse to insert their operative as the nominee solely so that psychotic criminal treasonous b*tch can waltz right into the White house just like they did LAST time with Obama and 4 years before that. Can you imagine this nightmare? The Clintons back in the White house? The CLINTONS? The Clintons with their ten billion trillion scandals back again? People think Obama is bad? They ain’t seen nothing until that witch gets in. She’s going to do more damage to this country in one month than he did in 7 years.

If there is a Brokered Convention and G.O.P pisses away it's momentum with Shenanigans, than they are going to Lose in November, even if Cruz is the Nominee.

Whoever it is going to be needs to win outright. Too Much Bad Blood would have been brewed in our own ranks for the Repub Nominee to win. (We control our own destiny, 2016 is ours to lose)

And The GOPe and Bosses are perfectly fine with a loss.

Why? Because what difference would it make? Hillary is Pres? oh no....They still have their Buffets, Their Crackers and Cheese and they get to go to Nine Rivers Country Club every Sunday, so shut up base.

The only thing wide open for Kasich should be the doors to a mental asylum.

Exactly, for the sake of the country those two better get straight with one another or we are going to have a President Hillary. Someone needs to have a good hard talk with both of them and tell them to cut the BS for the sake of the country. We got Democrat operatives running the Republican party and they are absolutely foaming at the mouth to make an operative the nominee so Hillary can win. We’re going to end up with Paul Ryan or the other Democrat operative Romney and she’s going to waltz right in and this country will be finished.

Do not kid yourself. It will be heart wrenching for all of you who believed that Ted was the anointed one.

There is a profound reason why Phyllis, Sarah, Sheriff Joe, Franklin and Jeff endorsed Trump.

This election is about allegiance to the United States. Make no mistake.

Here is me with a foreshadowing: I told you so.

Cruz is a globalist. Trump is a nationalist.

There is no reconciling with another globalist.
