Shock: Ted Cruz Takes Lead in Reuters Poll Over Donald Trump for First Time

by MIKE FLYNN5 Apr 2016

For the first time in the Republican primary, Reuters’ tracking poll shows Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% leading Donald Trump among likely voters in the Republican primaries.

This is also the first time Donald Trump hasn’t led the tracking poll in 2016.

Cruz has the support of 39 percent of likely Republican voters nationwide, just ahead of Donald Trump, who has 37 percent support. Ohio Governor John Kasich is a distant third, with 23 percent support.

In the broader survey of all Republicans, rather than likely voters, Trump still has a four-point lead. This, however, is sharply down from the 28-point lead he enjoyed in the middle of March.

Trump’s current support among Republican likely voters is the lowest since the end of February, when Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)78% and Ben Carson were still in the race. Since the race narrowed to three remaining candidates, Trump has enjoyed the support of almost half of Republican voters, or 45 percent.

Trump’s collapse in the Reuters tracking poll began on March 26, when the GOP frontrunner topped out at 48 percent support. Since then, Trump has lost 13 points of support. He gained two points back in today’s tracking poll.

The Reuters tracking poll is based on a five-day rolling average of results. Each day, a new round of daily interviews are added to the tracking poll, while older interviews are dropped from the tracking poll. As a result, there can be daily blips in the poll. The overall trend, however, is unmistakable. Trump has lost a considerable amount of support in the past two weeks and Cruz’s support has surged.

Liberal media have been at war with Cruz for 5 years.

He knows how to beat them. He beat their guy tonight.

Not really - they want Trump to win. They have about a million years of fuel for all of the negative campaigning they will do against Trump day after day after day. He has really dug his own grave in this regard. I like a lot of his ideas, but if he wins the nomination, be prepared for eight years of the Hildabeast.

When the democrats, media, and GOPe have done enough to derail Trump, it’s a safe bet all kinds of things we didn’t know about cruz will start coming out. They’re good at what they do and they will destroy Ted.

After tonight, it looks to me like Trump will not have the requisite delegates to win. And considering the sleazy campaign Trump has run, and the National Enquirer trash posted by so many Trumpkins over the last few days which has alienated so many people - I begin to think Trump will lose to Cruz on the 2nd or 3rd ballot. I just think Trump can't win unless he walks into Cleveland with the delegates to be nominated, and now I doubt he can.

Cruz has sold out to the GOPe. I hope he got his 30 pieces of silver. The GOPe doesn't want him OR Trump. They are using Cruz to stop Trump and when they are done with Cruz, they will toss him under the GOPe bus. On to the "New York Values" state. Lets see how well Cruz does there. (Snicker)

“Trump Pals Around with George Soros”

Trump defends Soros at Tea Party Rallies.

Trump joins lawsuits against Soros on Soros’’ side.

Soros funds Trumps big Tower projects (Trump Tower Chicago)

Soros buys Trump’s failing buildings (GM Building)

And yes, they meet socially at their Manhattan club with other globalist elites.

Do they plan things together?

Is Trump the Soros stealth candidate?

Trump should speak out against Soros.

Trump knows him well. He has been business partner with him, friends with him.

Trump therefore is in the best position to speak out and tell the nation what is going on with Soros.

Let Soros have it, Donald!

Trump is losing this himself. No attack ads could do the harm trump is doing to himself. He can't control his emotions or his mouth. Only the trump supporter like the hateful vitriol that spews out of trumps mouth. Everyone else sees it as classless. Look at the Freepers here who post hateful things. They are all emotion and have forgotten how the establishment attacked Cruz. Trump only made things worse when he acted like a 2 year old who can't be a gracious loser and had to lie about Cruz working with the est. Even though the est hates Cruz, they know trump will lose to Hillary because trump has alienated everybody.

Gallop informs that Trump is losing to Hillary by 11% points and to Bernie by 17% points. Trumpkins don’t seem to think this lead will magically evaporate.

Nobody likes a sore winner.

Not me, my FRiend.

I welcome Ted Cruz' victory, yet I'm not at all "in your face" about it.

We are all on the same team, we are just deliberating on who is going to be our q.b.

Good on ya'.

Great news. I hope it is a real change in momentum. Now if only the spoiler son-of-a-mailman would get out of the race.

Trump only made things worse when he acted like a 2 year old who can't be a gracious loser

Yup. See, this is the thing. People keep waiting on some presidential version of Trump. It doesn't exist, there will never be a presidential version of this cancer in the party. Trump is not an ideological conservative, he is self serving con man who only knows how to keep his name in the news by being more and more outrageous - which means he will never be presidential.

Frankly, Trump should be proud a bunch of so called Wisconsin nice voters (aka GOPe candy ass) didn’t vote for him.

John Winger: C'mon, it's Czechoslovakia. We zip in, we pick 'em up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia. It's like going into Wisconsin.
Russell Ziskey: Well I got the shit kicked out of me in Wisconsin once. Forget it!

Yes I remember in Iowa where Trump got the written warning from the Sec of State for sending out shaming letters and then on caucus night Trump and his campaign staffers told caucus goers Dr Carson had dropped out of the race. Oh wait that was Ted Cruz. :-)
