The chief executive of Pepsi, a company with roots in North Carolina, has written to Governor Pat McCrory to ask him to repeal a new law preventing specific anti-discrimination rules for LGBT people over public accommodations and restroom use.
In a letter hand delivered to McCrory on Friday, PepsiCo head Indra Nooyi called the law inconsistent with how her company treats its employees. Nooyi also said the law was undermining efforts to advance North Carolina’s interests, and she said she hoped McCrory would consider repealing the law when the state legislature reconvenes later this month.

Don’t know where you got that idea. It was a personal response to the red carbonated beverage, nothing more.
The North Carolina issue wasn’t even about this was it? It was about protecting pastors and others whom the LGBT crowd had not yet begun to bother, in a pro-active move.
This should be very easy to explain to the public, and if done well would show up Pepsico etc. for the bullying cowards they are.
All of this to appease a neurotic 1.7% of the population. Pepsi may as well threaten to boycott over North Carolina discriminating against the hiring of Aleutian Islanders.

What’s more, it’s not as though, in most cases, walking into the wrong gender room and discreetly using a stall would raise a fuss anyhow. It’s a grownup respect thing. Acting like spoiled children is what usually creates the issue.

In the liberal rag called the Nashville Tennesseean there are cartoons which criticize enforcement of separation of the sexes in public restrooms, calling it `fascistic’!

Just the other day a little girl followed me to the door of my apartment in the complex where I currently am, just innocently curious about where I had been (downtown working, little girl). I shuddered a little to think of what could come of her if instead of I, the person she had approached had been a fiend that preys on children for sport. Oh look at the kitties... would you like to come in and pet them... and shortly afterwards a different kind of petting would take place.
