We need a wall to put you on the other side and prevent you from ever returning, John Bob boy.

"American traitor."

The only reason I ever entertained support for Trump was national security which starts with border security. Yet with so called conservatives like Cornyn in Congress, border security will only be a pipe dream even if Trump is elected president.

“...He’s going to find out what it’s like to be back in the minority, I just don’t see any way the Pubbies hold on to the Senate.”

It seems that the GOP is hell-bent upon losing gracefully rather than respect the will of their own voting base. They want to abandon the principles of freedom, individual empowerment and equality under the law upon which the Party of Abraham Lincoln was founded in favor of emulating an European “conservative” party: That they could more efficiently manage a social welfare state.

That transformation will fragment the Party and relegate it to Third Party status, leaving the fascist Democrats with the largest plurality — much as was the case in late 1920s Weimar Germany. And we all know what happened after that.

People need to think long and hard about a wall since they can also keep you in.

Start prosecuting employers violating the law, close all the loopholes permitting the employment of illegals, stop providing social services to them and the problem will self heal fairly quickly.

Really? Tell that to the families who are victims of illegal migrant rapes, murders, thefts etc- over 80,000 VIOLENT illegal criminals roaming our streets because there has been no wall- John can go pound sand!

A major difference is we still have the Second Amendment, and at least 10 million citizens with military service.

Border walls without machine gun towers are probably not too effective.

“People need to think long and hard about a wall since they can also keep you in.”

Hence, there are border checkpoints in which authorities can establish the identities/backgrounds of people coming and going, then decide whether they should be allowed in — ya know, enforce existing laws.

There is absolutely NO benefit from an open border that allows criminals, parasites and terrorists to cross into our homeland unchecked.

“Start prosecuting employers violating the law, close all the loopholes permitting the employment of illegals, stop providing social services to them and the problem will self heal fairly quickly.”

Note my OP. The ‘anchor baby’ loophole should be closed also. Many already here will deport themselves — if they come here in the first place.

Well of course not. A wall would stop the cheap labor express.

AH, but we need mass surveillance and gazzillions of FBI agents ruffling through our iphones.

Funny what they say is possible and impossible.

I would be a shame if Cornyn or one of his family got run over by a drunk drive here illegally. A dang shame if that were to happen. I’d never wish that on him.

We’ve got 3+ years to find a viable primary opponent. There are several state representatives from North Texas that are very conservative, including my rep, Matt Rinaldi. If a viable candidate comes forth, that would hopefully hasten Cornyn’s retirement.

“A major difference is we still have the Second Amendment, and at least 10 million citizens with military service.”

There is a major functional difference between ‘defacto’ and ‘de jure.’

You will notice, just as is the case with enforcing immigration laws, the 2nd Amendment has been essentially nullified by Leftist local governments — particularly in the major cities.
