I did not impugn this woman.
My objection is to Donald Trump.
This unfortunate woman is being used. Donald Trump is trying to hide behind her skirts. It is not me doing this. It is Donald Trump.
Your beef is with him, not me.

There will always be plenty of people around to say that whatever Donald Trump does is good and right and just, and that anybody who does not share this opinion is bad and wrong and stupid.
As Trump himself has said, he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue, and his support would not suffer.
It is an odd thing that people who have been convinced to follow a con-man will resist all efforts to convince them that they have been had, because it is damaging to the ego to admit that one was fooled.
The fact that there are four or five people on this thread condemning me for pointing out how Trump is hiding behind this poor woman’s skirts is not remarkable. A month ago, it would have been a hundred.
It’s all slip sliding away for Trump. The only question now is if he can stumble across the finish line.
After he has his butt handed to him in Wisconsin next week, it is going to get a lot harder. If Wisconsin goes like it looks it will, Trump will need to get about 58% of the remaining delegates to get to a majority, and without a majority going into the convention, he is doomed.
Trump had a good run. Remarkable, really, considering how ill-suited he is for the office he sought. But it is coming to an end.
