Gateway Pundit ^ | March 25, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 03/25/2016 10:54:55 AM PDT by bobsunshine

The National Enquirer published a story this week claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz. ........ Ted Cruz just blamed Donald Trump and his former consultant Roger Stone for the National Enquirer article accusing the Texas senator of extramarital trysts. Cruz blamed Donald Trump and his “henchmen” including former consultant Roger Stone for advancing the rumors.

Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin the story was “all lies.” Cruz then went on to blame the article on Donald Trump and his “henchmen.” Cruz argued Roger Stone has been forwarding the article today on the internet. He thinks Trump campaign is behind this story. Cruz also said the publisher of the National Enquirer is a friend of Donald Trump’s.

He's responsible for everything his campaign does. Just as a CEO is responsible for the actions of his employees.

Anyway, another example of piss-poor judgement was when Ted pulled this really STUPID stunt:

 photo ted_cruz_voter_violation_zps30wh2khr.jpg

.

And then this:

 photo lwnvxymtz9iinilfvqbv_zpssteosoac.jpg

.

He finally apologized for that. If he were honest, he would have made a statement stating the Melania thing was inappropriate and apologize to Trump. Instead, he went deeper.

The guy is a jerk. And because I sent him money, I'm a jerk too for supporting him. Maybe I'll send Heidi a note asking for my $100 back since they have Bush, Beck, and Romney supporting their campaign now.

If you don’t buy crap, you may want to find a new candidate.

A lot of Trump supporters are crucifying Ted Cruz without a particle of evidence based on a story that was reported as a rumor.

You have no evidence of Cruz attacking Trump’s family.

On the other hand, Trump openly said he would attack Cruz’s wife.

Trump never openly said he would attack Cruz’s wife. He stated he would “...spill the beans.” Now if that is an attack, then what world are you living in. In fact Trump Spokeswoman Katrina Pierson today did “spill the beans” on Heidi Cruz. those beans consisted of the fact that she worked inside the establishment administration of GWB as well as pushing for the NAU and working for GS....now if pointing out those little factoids are considered an attack...

After all Heidi Cruz is quoted as saying that she and Ted are running together. You know a two for one package...Melania has not stated that she is running for president, only her husband.

Johnson campaigned AGAINST Cruz in Texas last month. Biased...

Dear Texas- Don't vote for #Cruz. If he loses TX, he gets out & #Rubio has a head-to-head with #Trump. That's the only way Trump could lose.— Drew Johnson (@Drews_Views) February 26, 2016

Your reply is the first I’ve heard of this. If it is true, it should be documented and published. Haven’t found a credible source for your claim yet. But if you find one, please update me.

If Cruz’s campaign manager supplied the photo to “Make America Awesome”, I will switch my first choice from Cruz to Trump.==================

I have seen this bit of info (jeff roe ordering the Melania pic from GQ) all over twitterverse. I have yet to find a linkable quote anywhere independently verifying the story. This morning I wrote GQ to find out if they will release the name of who ordred the Melania print. If they respond I will be certain to post it.

Attack is a figure of speech. Not accusing Trump of trying to physically harm Cruz or his wife.

In my opinion, the wives must be able to withstand scrutiny. The Dems will pull no punches. That being said, neither needs to resort to crude “attacks”. Cruz disavowed the nude pic ad. If it turns out his team is responsible, it would be a game changer.

I prefer all the candidates campaign on the issues, but mudslinging just seems to be a fact of life, unfortunately.

You’ve made several accusations against Cruz, starting with what happened several months ago in Iowa with the Ben Carson story started by CNN. SO, here’s a response first to the Ben Carson brouhaha ( and then after that, we’ll go to the Melania story ):

Who’s to blame for the rumor that Ben Carson was suspending his campaign after the Iowa caucus?

Was it CNN which accurately reported that Ben Carson was returning to Florida after the caucus, wouldn’t go to New Hampshire or South Carolina, would go to the Washington prayer breakfast, would be speaking at 9:15 regardless of the caucus results, and speculated that a serious Presidential candidate wouldn’t act this way?

Was it the CNN tweet: “After the #IAcaucus, @RealBenCarson plans to take a break from campaigning.”

Was it the Marco Rubio campaign that “was pushing the narrative hard” that Carson was dropping out?

Was it the Ted Cruz campaign that passed the CNN report to its caucus leaders? Was it the Rand Paul campaign that apparently did the same?

Was it Carson’s staff which, hearing of the CNN report, didn’t correct the speculation? Or was it the Carson campaign itself for giving CNN the information that led to the report and the subsequent speculation which they reported as “Breaking News”?

The media, the political establishment, and his political opponents say the caucus winner, Ted Cruz, is to blame.

Did Ted Cruz or his campaign create the news or speculation? No.

Did they invalidly pass on the CNN report? No.

Was the Carson campaign prevented from correcting the impression given by the CNN report? No.

Is there evidence that a single vote was changed? No.

Would Carson have place third or higher if the CNN information hadn’t gotten out? Not likely, Carson needed 25,000 votes to move into third place.

Carson placed where the polls projected, fourth.

And the media, which wants an establishment candidate, a RINO, to win the primary, has also been attacking Cruz. To create a false impression the media withholds the actual information, e.g., the actual CNN report and the related tweets. The media doesn’t ask why the Carson campaign provided the information (unusual for a serious candidate) that caused the speculation?

For the timeline of this situation with the CNN report and the tweets, see: http://goo.gl/XOHj8R

Imagine for a moment if the tables had been reversed, if Cruz had done exactly like Carson did and leaked the plans to CNN, neglected to get CNN to correct their report, neglected to inform caucus workers that the CNN report was false, and in fact even made such strange plans that caused the speculation by not going directly to the next primary state, New Hampshire, or the primary after that, South Carolina, for several days, in fact didn’t hold a single public event (as far as I can tell, he didn’t even arrive there apparently until Friday or Saturday) between the caucus and Saturday night’s debate.

What if Cruz had done what Carson did and Trump had been aware of the information, the speculation, and passed it to his caucus coordinators? What would be said?

Everyone would say what a stupid and poorly managed campaign Cruz was running, and how that showed he wasn’t prepared to be President.

Everyone wants to take out Cruz, so they blame him for Carson’s blunders. Cruz is the target because he is the biggest threat to Trump, to the establishment, and, after Trump who they think they can take down eventually, to his competitors.

I admire Dr. Ben Carson; he would be a fine President. I will happily vote for him if he had been the Republican nominee. But he was running a strange campaign, and his own actions and his campaign are to blame for what happened in Iowa. I am disappointed that Carson is trying to blame someone else for his campaign’s mistake, it is unworthy of him.

Now, in regards to the Melania GQ photo ad...

Despite the ad being created by Lisa Mair who operates an anti-Trump super PAC (the group is not pro-Ted Cruz, simply anti-Trump), Trump accused the Texas senator of being behind the ad.

Ted Cruz is getting flack for something he vehemently denies he has anything to do with.

To accuse Ted Cruz of coordinating this ad with Lisa Mair because it benefited him in Utah is akin to accusing Israel of supporting ISIS because Iran is also at war with it and Iran is Israel’s sworn enemy.

To raise the political heat a little bit more, the Washington Post decided to publish one of those nude photos of Melania, see here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/03/22/donald-trump-just-threatened-to-spill-the-beans-on-ted-cruzs-wife/?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-low_bush-610a%3Ahomepage%2Fstory

The photo clearly states at the bottom, “Paid for by Make America Awesome. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.”

This statement means that Make America Awesome, without any authorization from any candidate, chose to make those photos public probably in an attempt to alert Utah voters to Donald and Melania Trump’s very scandalous past.

Because those naked GQ photos are now popping up everywhere, this has made Donald Trump furious because they rip off the “conservative” mask around himself and his family that he has worked so hard to sell to the American voters during the run-up to the primaries.

Trump’s problem is that he cannot actually sue the Washington Post or GQ Magazine for defamation because the photos are real; Melania posed for them willingly.

This was last year, BEFORE the current Cruz attacks and BEFORE the National Enquirer officially endorsed Trump, writing "ENQUIRER DECLARES TRUMP MUST BE PREZ!"

I take Trump at his word. But then again it's not Trump's problem. The National Enquirer has something on Ted...or thinks they do. That's Ted's problem. If there's no there there he should demand an apology and a retraction. The fact that he hasn't (as far as I know) speaks volumes.

So, providing the names of the women to bolster your report should not be a difficult thing to do.

I am a Cruz supporter. I haven't made any ads with nude pictures of Mrs. Trump, but then someone else has. She posed for them, maybe she just doesn't approve of the caption.

Of course, almost all Cruz supporters are telepathically connected to campaign central, busily coordinating with all the other Cruzminions in the universe for the impending takeover of the planet. We are the world. We own the banks and the banksters. We have knowledge of things beyond the ken of the average human. We read minds for fun and profit. We make the sea level rise just by breathing hard and putting out a few more micrograms of CO2. Then we hold our breath just to mess with the Climate Change bunch (great fun). we make the continents drift by exhaling in the same direction every morning. If we exercise too vigorously, we start a heat wave. We cna do anything Chuck Norris can, except that thing with the chairs (just nowhere near as well.

Or not.

I agree, those who came up with that number must have had someone in mind (or more precisely, five someones).

So, enough innuendo.

Call. No more bets.

It's time to lay out the cards so we can see the hand.

We've played that game before, where innuendo trumps truth. Only I, for one (of many) refuse to play by those rules.

DISCLAIMER:

For the sarcasm impaired: Please note, this is not a communication of the Cruz campaign. Ted Cruz has no prior knowledge of this post, and none at all unless he reads it here or quoted elsewhere. The remarks in green are sarcasm Thank you in advance for not starting an internet sh*tstorm claiming that any of that stuff in green was serious. Have a nice day.
