For parochial schools, I’ve never understood open enrollment.

Catholic Parochial schools are called Catholic schools but they are largely made up of people calling themselves Catholic taking public funding from organizations with different agendas. The government, for instance. Some of whom are dead set on destroying the church from within

Still say there is nothing Catholic about Catholic schools.
They will take anyones money and subject true Catholic to mingling with the non-s.

The idea was always "We don't educate students because they're Catholic, we educate them because we're Catholic.

And it was supposed to be an avenue of evangelization. Sometimes it doesn't "take".
