Jeff Sessions: America’s Sovereignty at Stake in 2016 Presidential Election
Breitbart ^ | 2/24/2016 | John Hayward

Posted on 03/24/2016 9:19:42 AM PDT by 20yearsofinternet

Senator Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)80% warned that trade deals are eating away our national sovereignty and threatening our security on Thursday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily.

Breitbart News executive chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon compared the issues at stake in Britain’s upcoming vote on exiting from the European Union with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and asked Sessions if the latter could be seen as “essentially an up-or-down vote on national sovereignty of the United States of America.”

Sessions said the issue of sovereignty was definitely at stake in these elections.

“If you don’t secure the border, as Trump said, you don’t have a nation. Your sovereignty is undermined,” he asserted, referring to comments from presidential candidate Donald Trump, whom Sessions has endorsed.

“Secondly, in trade, we need to have trade policies that protect the security and financial security of the United States – not create another international commission, like the beginning of the EU, which was a trade agreement where every nation gets one vote,” he continued. “Like the EU, where Vietnam and other countries get the same one vote as the United States. That is a huge sovereignty issue.”

So then why is he supporting a candidate who will almost certainly lose to Hillary?

David Plouffe the Democrat strategist admitted the Democrats haven’t attacked Cruz because they would love to run against him.

Well Hillary just laid into Cruz big time for his statement about patrolling muslim neighborhoods. They always said they feared Rubio the most. They probably don’t mind running against Cruz but they obviously relish the idea of running against Trump.

He’s not. He’s supporting the candidate who will crush Cankles in the general. Have a nice day :)

Our corrupt establishment fears Trump. He has promised to look at the budget where it increases every year to every department by 8%. The corrupt media when a politician says he want to cut the increase to 4% a year posts stories of a 50% rate decrease and people will starve.

A business man like TRUMP can cut through this.

OTOH once Cruz masters the liberal nastiness that is Trump, he should be quite toughened up for thighness.

They probably don’t mind running against Cruz but they obviously relish the idea of running against Trump.

I supported Cruz for the past few years until his transformation about six weeks ago. I came to the realization that he is not the honorable man he presents himself to be and he does not seem to connect with LIVs and common man voters. Constitutional knowledge and and acting like a wised ass attorney will fall right into to Hilary's game plan.

Trump is my first pick, but if Cruz pulls off the nomination I would hold my nose and vote for him with the dread of knowing that he has little chance ow winning the geeral election.

If, as I believe, you can judge a man's character by his enemies. Then I must go with Trump as he he seems to have all the right enemies.

Teds new establishment BFFs won’t ever allow him to go after Hillary. He’ll lie down just like Romney did.

He’s already taken Hillarys rapist husbands behavior off the table.

Aside from the fact they will never, and I repeat, NEVER let Ted be the nominee.

We're on the same wave length, FRiend.

Even when I was all in for Ted, I knew in my heart that he just wasn't electable because he just plain isn't likeable.
