Do American Elites See Themselves As Superior To God?

Posted on 03/24/2016 8:57:37 AM PDT by pinochet

American engineers are the most innovative in the history of the world. They have built space probes that have been able to travel as far as the planet Jupiter, and closely study the planet and its moons.

This has led American elites to believe that they can be just as innovative in the field of morality. A lot of people will refer to same sex marriage, and holding up Caitlyn Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Miley Cyrus as role models for American youth.

The problem goes much deeper than that. It includes paying more money to people on welfare, than to people who work for minimum wage jobs. Think about the injustice that is done to honest, hardworking, poor people, who would rather work for minimum wage than go on welfare. Also, think of all the lazy, able-bodied slobs, who are defrauding the disablility system by claiming to be disabled. The poor guy working on minimum wage is supporting them through the payroll and sales taxes that he is paying.

The sickening American elites are encouraging this.

To do as the title asks, these elites would have to acknowledge there is God The Father Almighty, and they are not so inclined based upon their actions.

Defeat and destroy the elites?

Did I wander into a freaking Marxist chatroom by accident?

News flash: you’re always going to have classes, you’re always going to have “elites”, and they’re always going to think they are better than everyone else and try their best to throw their weight around. That’s life, and there is no way to avoid it, because it results from human nature.

I’m thinking because they are a fashionable target to bash around here, thanks to Trump’s fake populism that everyone is enamored with.

You desperately need to read “Atlas Shrugged” if you haven’t already.

I just did. The first third perfectly matches what you describe.

“They have built space probes that have been able to travel as far as the planet Jupiter”

Well that brings us right up to 1979

How can they view themselves superior to something they do not believe exists?

The elites who are secularists see the state as a substitute for God. The elites see themselves as superior to the masses and therefore should run the state. The idea is as old as Plato’s Republic.

Yes, they think they ARE gods. The concept of God, a being supreme over Man, does not register to them.

"...Did I wander into a freaking Marxist chatroom by accident?.."

I am a conservative; a fundamental tenet is that I want a smaller and less intrusive government that respects individual rights and liberties.

Nobody resents people simply because they are successful. It is not us versus the rich. It's not a class war thing.

Elites operate as a cabal. They control the levers of power in politics, media, finance, et al and are using that control to reduce us to serfdom under an all-intrusive and ever present government.

They want us to all be poor workers, too afraid to speak up.

If you are a conservative I'd think you'd oppose that too.

So no, you did not wander into a freaking Marxist chatroom by accident.

By "elite" I mean the super wealthy transnational cabal or group that composes the global power elite.

George Soros is probably on the lower end, financially, of this demographic. They eschew publicity and prefer to work behind the scenes.

They use techniques like interlocking directorates to work as a group. Interlocking directorate refers to the practice of members of a corporate board of directors serving on the boards of multiple corporations.

Their wealth is measured in billions not millions, and they are uniformly without god and see humans as cattle.

I do not resent a man's wealth, but I oppose a man who uses that wealth to oppress others.

The Transnational Elite is defined in this context as a network of interconnected elites controlling each major field of social life (economic, social, ideological and so on) and its function is similar to that of the national elite in the pre-globalization era of nation-states.

The elite is the elite - does not matter where they are located or their particular philosophy - they are still the elite ... one might attempt to differentiate by naming some the ‘political elite’ or the ‘moneyed elite’ or “the super wealthy transnational cabal or group that composes the global power elite,” but they are really just the same people with different descriptors..

Fancy dancy way of saying the same thing. When one says ‘definition’ it is always taken as the dictionary definition not some out of the way, wordy, obscure, website’s definition used as click bait for the unwary.

There are two groups of elitists.

Economic elitists in the GOP would be Wall Street, Main Street, Transnationals, etc.

Cultural elitists in the democrat party which can also be called intellectual elitists or to use Bork's term, cultural Marxists. Bork defined them as those who make their living with words and language and include educators, entertainers, bureaucrats, media people, lawyers, etc.

There are two groups of populists.

Economic populists are in the dem party and include blue collar/unions, enviros, and the social justice crowd.

Cultural populists are in the GOP and are rural culture, southern culture, prairie culture, gun culture, fundamentalism, etc.

Traditionally the GOP was the elitist party and the democrats were the populist party.

That began to change in the 1960s when the cultural elitists left the GOP to take over the dem party and the final battle for the dem party was at the 1968 dem convention in Chicago.

This did not set well with the cultural populists in the dem party and the GOP use Nixon's southern strategy to bring these people out of the dem party into the GOP. The silent majority and the moral majority.

Thus: the dem party became a coalition between economic populists and cultural elitists while the GOP became a coalition of economic elitists and cultural populists.

Obama's credentials as a cultural elitist flow from being a Harvard educated lawyer while his credentials as a economic populist flow from being a community organizer(social justice).

Bernie Sanders is an economic populist while Hillary is a cultural elitist. Trump is an economic elitist masquerading as a cultural populist

Both of these coalitions are breaking down.

The boomers are moving off the stage so the dem coalition is in jeopardy.

The cultural populists in the GOP have turned on the economic elitists because of the elitists' position on abortion, homosexuals, foreign trade, immigration, etc.

A presidential ticket of Sarah Palin(cultural populist) and Elizabeth Warren(economic populist) would win 70% of the popular vote and 90% of the electoral vote

OK, so that’s another example of humans thinking they can define reality.

They’ve “undefined” pluto as a planet, though there are 3 actual undeniable planets further than Jupiter (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune).

And the Oort cloud is theoretical - unobserved. One of those “it must be there or our billion yr old universe theory falls apart”.
