I didn’t say I agreed with him, I just noted the fact that he does better against Clinton than any other nominally Republican candidate. Cruz also beats Hillary, just not by as much, Bush and Rubio were also ahead of her. Trump...he loses, and loses big.
It’s just really difficult for me to envision the guy who got 13% in Ohio, 17% in Florida, and half of what W Bush got in Texas suddenly becoming the Nov winner.
“The polls, however, say he is right. He does the best against either Sanders or Clinton.”
So tired of this line of thinking.
The only reason he’s scoring high in the polls now is because he is a nonentity that most people don’t think about at all.
He is basically filling the “generic Republican” role. If he were to become the nominee or even a frontrunner, you’d see all the opposition research fly out of the woodwork.
Some liberal clown opinion leader like John Oliver would brand him “fascist” or “racist” or “just plain scary” and a lot of people would repeat it ad infinitum, wanting others to think they’re in the know.
Why would Cruz want to make a deal with this guy?
He is the one stopping this from become the 2 man race that it should be.
